By Faith!

‘By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions, quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight’ Heb.11:33-34

Everything we do as believers is by faith. Laying on of hands, giving, even fellowship with God are all by faith [Heb.11:5]. Take water baptism for example. It is by faith we obey Jesus and get baptized by immersion. Baptism cannot make logical sense. Yet everyone that has been baptized by faith has a testimony of life change. The life change you experience does not happen as a result of the baptismal classes rather it occurs as a result of your faith in Jesus expressed through the act of baptism. During one of my visits to my sister, I discovered that her and her husband had not yet been baptized. So I baptized them in their bathtub. And from that day her spiritual ears opened and she began to hear God.  So I step out of my house for a prayer walk and invite the Holy Spirit to walk with me by faith. And God honors my faith with His presence. For some of us, the reason why we don’t pray or our prayer lives are just very shallow is because we want to feel something. You don’t feel, you pray by faith. Whether you feel God or not does not make God less faithful. The Bible says ‘whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved’. Whether I feel it or not, I believe that when I call on the Name of the Lord – salvation comes [Rom.3:28]. That is the Word of God. God will not deny Himself, even when we are faithless God remains faithful. Faith is so powerful, Jesus says ‘if you have faith as small as a mustard seed you will say to this mountain, be thou removed and it will be removed’.  It is only by faith that you subdue kingdoms. By faith in the Name of Jesus you will take over territories, you will rule with justice, you receive what God has promised you, you will shut the mouth of every lion that is roaring against your destiny. By faith you will quench the flames of fire, you will escape death by the sword, your weaknesses will be turned into strengths, you will become strong in battle, and you will put a whole army to flight – by faith!

Prayer: Let every mountain that stands before my Promised Land be removed and let every giant that is in my Promised Land be slain, and so shall it be in Jesus Name.
