Follow Him!
‘And he saith unto then. Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men’ Matt.4:19 [KJV]
A good number of Christians are struggling in their health, marriages, jobs, businesses, and even in their calling because they are carrying what God has not designed for them to carry. You need to launch out daily knowing that Jesus is in control – so relax! The last time I checked He is still the King of kings. God has not called us to figure everything out. ‘Follow Me, and I will make you…’. By the grace of God, God’s Favourite House will celebrate her third year anniversary on the 12th September 2013. When we felt God wanted us to start this work, we didn’t know how we were going to pay for the worship venue. All we knew was that we were following Jesus and we laid our worries to rest in Him. There are pressures everywhere but you need to decide who will be your God – your circumstance or Jehovah. Our faith is not in our circumstances, our faith is in our God. So when there is pressure, guess what, I go to sleep. By God’s grace, I have never lost sleep for anything – nothing! Do you know why? I am following Jesus! Does that mean that everything is perfect? Of course not! But there is one thing I know; God is too faithful to fail. He did not fail the prophets of old and He definitely is not about to fail me now. God will not fail you especially when you are in the middle of a storm. So like the eagle, fly into the eye of that storm you are faced with knowing that it will propel you to greatness by God’s grace. The challenge with a lot of us is that we are not totally following Jesus. We say one thing and do another thing altogether. I want you to know today that there is no one that has really followed Jesus and has regretted it. ‘They looked unto Him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed’ Ps.34:5 [KJV]. You too will not be put to shame in Jesus Name, just look unto Jesus the gory and the lifter up of your head! ‘God blesses those people who depend only on him. They belong to the kingdom of heaven!’ Matt.5:3 [CEV]. “He who has God and everything has no more than he who has God alone” C. S. Lewis.
Prayer [song]: ‘He has promised He will never fail. I will follow Him. He has promised He will never fail. His faithfulness is for evermore (2x)(song).
