Mark 11:⁹ “Jesus was in the centre of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting, “Praise God! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!”

Here is the truth, you are going to centre your life around something. The question is, what is it going to be? Is it going to be your job or money, or is it going to be your children? Do you really want your life to be centred around your job, money, and your children? Some people want to be famous. Is fame what your life is going to be centred around? The truth is that your life is going to be centred around something, whether you are deliberate about it or not. For some people, their life is centred on what people say or do not say.

Your life is going to be centred around something, whether you like it or not. So, make up your mind to be deliberate today and decide that your life is going to be centred around God. Say aloud, ‘my life will be centred around God alone’. If your life is not centred around God, whatever your life is centred around has become an idol, no matter how legitimate it is. So how do I know that my life is centred around something that is not God? I will give you a simple test; the one thing that points to the fact that your life is centred around something that is not God is, worry.

Life is filled with challenges. We all go through trials and pain, sometimes excruciating pain and prolonged trials. But is your life going to be centred around the pain and the trials, or is your life going to be centred around your God? If you discover that you are beginning to get worried. It is an indication that your life is beginning to centre around something other than God. So, how do I know that my life is centred around God? Simple. You will have peace. You can be going through the storms, the whole world may quake, and the earth may even be shaking. But you have peace. You can have peace in the pain and in the storm. You just have peace.

Worship, refocus your life, and refocus yourself around God. When it is all said and done, there is only one thing that is important. And that is to have your life centred around God your Maker. Philippians 4:⁷ “A sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life” (MSG, emphasis added). Worship is the antidote to worry, and it is a choice, you choose to worship. So, what is going to be the centre of your life for the rest of your life? Hint: nothing else is strong enough to hold your life together. Only God!
