Use It

Isaiah 10:27 “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” (KJV)

Life is a cycle of adversities. So rather than wanting to escape adversity, build strength. God wants you to pay attention to building strength even in the remaining days of this year and beyond. Take the COVID-19 pandemic for instance. When it hit, everyone was confused and did not know what to do. But I kept saying to people, that COVID-19 is not going anywhere. It has nothing to do with being smart. If you look at history, polio, chickenpox, and yellow fever are still around today. Every pandemic or epidemic that has hit, never really goes. What happens is people become stronger, and people build their immunity. And that is what vaccination is all about. I am not here to advocate for vaccination or no vaccination. I am just giving you facts.

When people get vaccinated, it builds their immunity. The process of vaccination is teaching the body to fight, and trains the body in the process. It is similar to what happens when people go to the gym. Vaccination trains the immune system to become stronger. Some people will still get infected with COVID-19, but the impact will not be as much as before. Some people will not even feel it because they are strong. The mistake the world made was trying to eradicate COVID-19. Focus on building and increasing your strength. While the pandemic attacked the health of nations, the recession attacked the wealth of nations.

The pandemic is not going away, it just keeps mutating. Humanity will keep getting stronger and stronger, and live with it because of our strength, not because humanity has eradicated it. Similarly, if you check the history of the economies of nations. If you want to look at it in absolute terms. The currencies or the purchasing power of nations has become weaker and weaker over the centuries. What has happened is that people and institutions have become stronger. So, do not pray and wait for the recession to go. Use the season to build your strength, to build your financial strength. Use the season to increase your purchasing power.

No economy will remain the same after a recession. The question is when the recession is over, will you be stronger, or will you be in one corner waiting for it to pass? Or will you use it, ride the wave, and become stronger? That is what God wants for you. He is saying expand, extend, stretch the curtains of your habitation. Stretch it! Someone said, “Life doesn’t get easier or more forgiving. We get stronger and more resilient.” And it is so true.

Prayer: Father, I receive the courage and wisdom to build strength and increase in power in times of trouble, and remain above only, in the Name of Jesus. Amen!
