Mount Up
Deuteronomy 32:11 “Like an eagle that rouses her chicks and hovers over her young, so he spread his wings to take them up and carried them safely on his pinions.”
Your attitude towards your future has a great impact on your energy level. If you see a bright, promising, glorious, and great future, it infuses energy into you.NamPeople who think their future is bleak, or think there is nothing to their future, their energy level is pretty low. If you see someone on a mission, who believes that no matter what happened yesterday, tomorrow will be alright. He or she is fired up. Isaiah 40:29 “He gives power to the tired and worn out, and strength to the weak.” (LB). I pray that everyone who is tired and worn out receives power in Jesus Name. I pray that everyone who is weak receives strength in the Name of Jesus.
Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (LB, emphasis added). I pray that you will be anchored upon the Lord in the Name of Jesus. But the Bible says something very unique, it says, “…They shall mount up with wings like eagles”. When the eagle mounts up with wings, what happens is as the eagle takes flight, its vision becomes very sharp. In the sense that it has a vantage position and can see very far away. God is saying when you mount up with wings like the eagles, you see the vision of the preferred future from a vantage position. You are able to see far and decide on that vision.
One thing about the eagle, which is also a weakness, is that once it decides on a prey, it dedicates its motion towards it. Whether it is a fish in water or a mountain goat. Eagles carry goats, sometimes the goats drag the eagle down and even injure it. But the eagle decides, locks in, and goes. I pray for everyone who has blurry vision that God will make your vision sharp, and you will mount up with wings like the eagle. The eagle mounting up with wings is not just to fly for flying sake. It is for vantage position, clearer sight, and further sight.
Isaiah 40:30 “Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion.” This scripture shows that we all get tired, and it is okay to be tired. However, it is not okay to stay always tired, depleted, and grumpy. God will infuse you with His strength and vitality in the Name of Jesus. Isaiah 40:28 “Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary…”. God never gets tired. Therefore, you and I can trust in the Lord, lean on Him, anchor on Him, and draw strength from He who never gets tired or weary.
Prayer: Father, infuse me with power and renew my strength, in Jesus Name. Amen!
