Heart Of It

Ecclesiastes 12:13 “That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty.” (emphasis added)

If you live your life zoomed into the heart of the matter, which is, fear God and obey Him, you will be at peace and at rest. The depression and anxiety associated with beating around the bush will be far from you. Focus on the core of your being on this—fear God, align with Him, and obey His commandments. That is the heart of the matter. Ecclesiastes 12:13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” (KJV, emphasis added). I was listening to a man speak; he was beating his chest and inadvertently waving his fist at God. He said that when he became a man, he challenged God. But because he had been, in his words, indoctrinated that God is powerful and God will strike you, he actually expected to be struck in his sleep, and he was ready for it.

But when he woke up in the morning, he was fresh and full of energy. So, he concluded that there is no God, so he started insulting God and everything that represents God on earth. That is where God is dangerous. God doesn’t have to respond to everyone. Do you know how many people insult God every day? God does not have to respond. Guess what? Someone can insult God, and He will respond by pampering the person. That is God. Psalm 14:1Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God…“. Another person was asked what he would do if, when he dies, he discovers that there is actually a God. He is standing before God, and God is all that people say He is—strong, mighty, awesome, majestic.

The man said that he would insult God, and he started reeling out all the insults he would say. I laughed because he would actually be peeing in his pants. Guess what? God doesn’t need you to exist; you need God to exist. So, the heart of the matter when you cut it and dice it is, fear God and obey His commandments. People make certain decisions, say certain things, or deal in certain ways, and I am like, do these people really fear God? People don’t fear God because they feel that they will go scot free, or they have gone scot free. Some have case references of this person and that person who don’t fear God and have gone scot free, or are rich and powerful.

However, when you look at how God set things up, the first thing is you have to run your own race. Secondly, when you see and understand how God is behind and is the Master planner of everything, you will be at peace because God is in control, even if situations in the world suggest otherwise. God is in absolute control, and everything will work out as He intends.

Prayer (song): You are God from beginning to the end. There’s no place for argument. You are God all by Yourself. Amen!
