Nehemiah 13:¹⁴ “Remember this good deed, O my God, and do not forget all that I have faithfully done for the Temple of my God and its services.”

Daniel 6:^19-20 “Very early the next morning, the king got up and hurried out to the lions’ den. When he got there, he called out in anguish, “Daniel, servant of the living God! Was your God, whom you serve so faithfully, able to rescue you from the lions?” Let Your work be done in such a way that it will resound in Heaven and Heaven will move on your behalf in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Daniel 6:^21-22 “Daniel answered, “Long live the king! My God sent his angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have been found innocent in his sight. And I have not wronged you, Your Majesty.” Faithfulness is huge, and it is key to remembrance.

You have a right to lay claim to remembrance. However, most times, people do not even know they have a right to do this. The truth is that if you don’t know you have a right, you don’t have a right. That is how it works. You don’t have a right until you know you have a right, and you exercise your right. If you don’t know you have a right, you don’t have a right. You can come before God and say, “For the good I have done to Your people, remember me for good, oh God of Heaven.” We see Nehemiah do this repeatedly. Nehemiah 13:^{22 & 31} “…Remember this good deed also, O my God! Have compassion on me according to your great and unfailing love. …I also made sure that the supply of wood for the altar and the first portions of the harvest were brought at the proper times. Remember this in my favour, O my God.”

We see that remembrance and restoration are intertwined. This season, this year, and beyond, God will restore you, and a big part of that will come by remembrance. Malachi 3:¹⁶ “Then those who feared the Lord spoke with each other, and the Lord listened to what they said. In his presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared him and always thought about the honour of his name.” When believers talk about the Word of God, God listens, and He opens His own book of remembrance. When you speak God’s Word to other believers and to other people, and you delight in God’s Word, He opens a book of remembrance for you. And with remembrance comes restoration.

Malachi 3:^17-18 “They will be my people,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “On the day when I act in judgment, they will be my own special treasure. I will spare them as a father spares an obedient child. Then you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.” God will spare you from every disaster and catastrophe.
