Caution!

Ps.139:^23-24 “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life”

God speaks through Silence. Sometimes, God’s silence means He is waiting for you to choose but at other times, it could mean that God is upset. Sometimes, when God is upset He keeps quiet. If God is upset with you, I pray that you will make peace with Him today, in Jesus Name. But I pray that God will not be upset and keep quiet at you, in Jesus Name.

God can be upset; Saul is a case in point. Saul was searching for God’s voice, he checked different channels but every channel he tuned to was silent. God zoned him out [1Sam.28:6]. If your father is angry with you, what should you do? You should stay by his side and play with him, and he will tell you why he is angry.

This is what Saul should have done with God. But instead, Saul went in a completely opposite direction. Saul went to see a diviner. Saul was obviously too hasty. He was not interested in a relationship with God. He just wanted answers to his problem. We have to be careful. If the only reason we come before God is to get answers to our problems, what we are saying to heaven is that we are not interested in a relationship with God. People that operate like that always get into trouble; always!

In today’s world, diviners carry Bibles; have you noticed? Diviners even call the Name of Jesus yet they are into divination and are deeply occultic. How would you know? By their fruit! They are quick to say to people that God is not even talking to, “it will be well with you”. When God is angry and silent, they show up with a blessing and claim it is from God.

Imagine what David would have done if he was the one in Saul’s situation. David would not have slept. Can you guess why? Not because of his problem but because of his relationship with God. Saul was impatient and he complicated his situation. The only oracle that will speak to you when God is not speaking to you, the only oracle that will give you a reward when heaven is upset with you, is occultic. The prophet that will tell you, “all is well with you”, when you know that God is not happy with you, is not a prophet from God.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, search me and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends You and make me right with You, in Jesus Name.
