Let Go!

1 Sam.15:22 “Samuel: Does the Eternal One delight in sacrifices and burnt offerings as much as in perfect obedience to His voice? Be certain of this: that obedience is better than sacrifice; to heed His voice is better than offering the fat of rams” [Voice].

To come into what God has for us and to experience the miracles of God, the second thing we must do is Obey. Once you believe, the next thing is to obey. Jesus told the blind man in John 9:1-7 [please read], after putting mud in his eyes to go and wash and the man just went in obedience. Many people would argue but the blind man just obeyed.

Naaman in 2Kings 5:1-19 [please read] was instructed by Elisha to go and dip himself in the Jordan. Elisha did not even come out of his house to address him and Naaman initially felt insulted. But because of counsel, eventually Naaman decided to obey and he was healed. If Naaman did not obey he would have had to remain with the disease. If Naaman in anger decided to bring his entire army to fight Elisha, he would have lost and probably died in the battle. There is no point going against God, just obey! There is no value in walking in disobedience, just obey!

I have seen things in my walk with God that does not make logical sense. A lady battling with a huge demonic case sent me a text message. And my reply message was a prayer. She told me later that when she read my text message [the prayer], the power of God hit her, she fell on the floor and the demons flew out. You cannot put God in a box. You cannot insist on how you want God to deal with the issues you are facing. You do what God has asked you to do and His miracles will flow in your life.

The dictionary defines the word obey as to do what someone tells you to do. Most of the time, people do not obey God. I pray that you get this and change that in your life. At a prayer session, God was telling us to let go of what is in our hands so that He can let go of what is in His hands. I had things I was holding onto and I immediately let go. Why are you holding on to things that God is telling you to let go of? He is saying let go so that He can let go of what is in His hands. But you are holding on to it because it is all that you have known. My question to you today is, will you obey God or will you keep arguing with God?

Prayer: Lord, please help me to act in complete obedience to God, in Jesus Name. Amen!
