This Kind

‘But this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting’ Matt.17:21 [AMP]

Erroneously, people are quick to think that the only people who engage in fasting are those who are poor and hungry. Nothing can be further away from the truth than this. Daniel was neither hungry nor poor but Daniel understood that in other to enter into destiny, he had to cooperate with heaven. Fasting and praying is cooperating with God. In actual sense, if the poor and hungry engage in fasting and praying it is because they are wise. The only way out of poverty and hunger is to cooperate with heaven. There are domains that you cannot enter without facing serious resistance. Your promise land is one of such domains. This is why Jesus categorized such battles as ‘this kind’ and the only solution to it as prescribed by Jesus is prayer and fasting. The goliaths [resistance] will not succumb to tongues alone. They only heed to power and force and this kind of power is generated in the place of fasting and prayer. When you start to fast and humble yourself before God, He will dispossess every goliath blocking your destiny. There cannot be any vacuum in the spiritual. Darkness occupied the earth until light came. You must enter that domain with the strength of light strong enough to displace every darkness. This kind of fast is to be taken seriously. You cannot afford to give up just before your break through. Entering your destiny is at stake. The toughest resistance you will face is just before you break through. Paul advices that you ‘…press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize…’ Phil. 3:14. This kind cannot be outsourced. Don’t let anyone deceive you into thinking that you can. There are certain things that you believe God for that will not bulge until you engage. As you engage, every limitation will be lifted, barriers broken and goliaths beheaded. Christ in you will be manifested. Every goliath standing between you and your specific destiny in God, God will dethrone and you will behead them in Jesus Name.

Prayer: Praise the LORD, who is my Rock. He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle [Ps.144.1]. Lord, give me righteousness and justice for every resistance, in Jesus Name.
