Take Position

Deuteronomy 32:11-12 “Like an eagle that rouses her chicks and hovers over her young, so he spread his wings to take them up and carried them safely on his pinions. The Lord alone guided them; they followed no foreign gods.”

We are in a new season; God is lifting us on eagle’s wings. Over the next few days, we will start by laying the foundation for getting on eagle’s wings. And laying the foundation on how to be carried on eagle’s wings. Read the rest of this entry

Enduring Word

Luke 21:33 “Heaven and earth will disappear, earth and sky will be destroyed. But my words will never disappear, the words I have spoken will never be destroyed, my words remain forever true.” (NLT & NCV & LB)

We will kick off today’s devotional by continuing with our final thought from yesterday. And that is “how does the Word act on you”? When you act on the Word of God, the Word of God acts on you. Read the rest of this entry

Action!

James 2:18 “Now someone may argue, “Some people have faith; others have good deeds.” But I say, “How can you show me your faith if you don’t have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds.”

The very fourth choice you need to make to work the Word is to Choose To Act On It. James 1:22Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” (NIV). Read the rest of this entry

Declare It!

Matthew 17:20 “…I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (NIV, emphasis added)

Did you notice that Jesus did not say if you have faith as big as this mountain, then you can move this situation? The faith size is the seed size. Even if you take the biggest seed, compared to a mountain, it is still very small. So, you may look at your faith and think your faith is small. Read the rest of this entry

Believe & Declare

John 11:40 “Jesus responded, “Didn’t I tell you that you would see God’s glory if you believe?” (emphasis added)

I am going to believe God, and I am going to take Him at His Word. Will you? It is a choice we all have to make. I am going to believe what He has said. I choose to believe that the mountain of the Lord’s house, God’s Favourite House, Read the rest of this entry

Just Believe!

John 6:29 “Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.” (NIV, emphasis added)

Faith is relational. Friends take their friends at their word. You have faith in someone, you believe in the person. You have faith in God, you believe God. You relate with God; you believe what God says. You have a relationship with Jesus, you believe what Jesus says. Read the rest of this entry

Ingest & Believe

Hebrews 11:11 “It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old. She believed that God would keep his promise.”

What is the best way to approach the Word? The key is to slow down, and never race through scriptures. Just slow down, read and ensure that what you have read, you have read. Read the rest of this entry

Stay

John 15:4&7“Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me… But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!”

To work the Word of God, you need to make four choices and they are all summed up in your faith. The first choice you need to make to work the Word is to Choose To Ingest It. Read the rest of this entry

Ingest It

John 1:4-5 “The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.

When the Word works in you as a believer, you are preserved, strengthened, empowered, and lifted. In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Word will work in your life and your head will not reject the Word of God Read the rest of this entry

In The Word

Hebrews 4:12 “For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.”

It is so important that we allow the Word of God to work in our lives. The situations that happen to us cause the people in our lives to ask the question, does the Word really work? Read the rest of this entry
