Battle Within
Romans 7:17 But I can’t help myself because I’m no longer doing it. It is sin inside me that is stronger than I am that makes me do these evil things.” (LB)
Over the next couple of weeks, God is taking us on a journey of winning the invisible war and our kick-off point is Winning The Battle Within. We have written a book on Winning; gaining and sustaining victory in the battles of life. Read the rest of this entry
From Zion
Nehemiah 9:22-23 “Then you helped them conquer great kingdoms and many nations, and you placed your people in every corner of the land; they completely took over the land of King Sihon of Heshbon and King Og of Bashan… and brought them into the land you had promised…” (LB)
The highest mountain of influence is Zion. And when we come to Zion and operate from Zion, we are able to influence the seven mountains. However, for the folks on the seven mountains to be successful they must keep their link with Zion. Read the rest of this entry

Acts 19:18-19 “Many who became believers confessed their sinful practices. A number of them who had been practicing sorcery brought their incantation books and burned them at a public bonfire. The value of the books was several million dollars.”
What prompted the move we see in today’s anchor scripture? The back story is in Acts 19:13-16 “A group of Jews was traveling from town to town casting out evil spirits. They tried to use the name of the Lord Read the rest of this entry
Claim or No Claim?
John 14:30 “…for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me. [He has nothing in common with Me; there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, and he has no power over Me.]” (AMPC, emphasis added).
The challenge out there in the world is real. You cannot on the strength of the gospel of salvation go and take mountains that require the gospel of the Kingdom. Read the rest of this entry
Get Involved
Mark 15:42-43 “It was toward evening when Joseph of Arimathea arrived. He was a respected member of the Council, who was waiting for the coming of the Kingdom of God… so Joseph went boldly into the presence of Pilate and asked him for the body of Jesus. (GNT)
We will kick off today’s devotional with our final thought from yesterday. We said that the Kingdom influence of the Church has been limited through statements like,
Get Equipped
Deuteronomy 7:1 “When the Lord brings you into the Promised Land… he will destroy the following seven nations, all greater and mightier than you are: the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, the Jebusites.” (LB, emphasis added)
We are to enter into these mountains not to be what they are but to change what they represent. But our people cannot do it if they are not equipped to do it. Read the rest of this entry
Kingdom Influence
Revelation 5:12 “Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.” (KJV, emphasis added)
Bronwyn O’Brien, the author of Seven Mountains of Influence says, “After researching the original Greek meanings of these words, it became evident to me that power speaks of Government, riches speak of Economy; wisdom speaks of Education; strength speaks of Family; honor speaks of Religion;
In Ministry
Acts 9:39 “So Peter returned with them; and as soon as he arrived, they took him to the upstairs room. The room was filled with widows who were weeping and showing him the coats and other clothes Dorcas had made for them.”
Yesterday, I shared with you how I took my stand on a direction in my organization. It was tough to insist on a different direction from what my boss had in mind on a matter. But I took my stand and it was nothing spooky. Read the rest of this entry
Take Your Stand
Isaiah 60:1&3 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you… Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.’ (NIV)
We erroneously think that it is those who are in ‘full-time’ ministry that are in the centre of God’s will. We look at people in ‘full-time’ ministry thinking to ourselves that one day when we make enough money and do not need a salary from the church, then we can finally be in the centre of God’s will for our lives. The Kingdom
Matthew 9:35 “Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.” (NKJV)
The gospel that Jesus came to preach is the gospel of the Kingdom. However, the Church has focused mostly on the gospel of salvation and is stuck on the gospel of salvation. But Jesus preached the gospel of the Kingdom. Read the rest of this entry
