Three P’s

1 John 2:15&17 “Don’t set the affections of your heart… or in loving the things of the world. The love of the Father and the love of the world are incompatible… This world and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God live forever. (TPT)

Audience of One

Hebrews 12:2 “We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honour beside God’s throne.”

Moses Chose What God Values Over What Culture Values. Moses was driven by his values. I want to challenge you to write down your top three (3) values in life. Pause and think, what are your top three values in life? If you are blank, that is a very bad place to be. Read the rest of this entry

You Decide

Hebrews 11:26 “He valued suffering in the Messiah’s camp far greater than Egyptian wealth because he was looking ahead, anticipating the payoff.” (MSG).

You cannot change what happens to you, but you can change what you do with your life. People can hurt you, yes, they can. People can harm you, yes, they can. People can scar you, yes, they can. But no one can ruin you except you, not even satan. Read the rest of this entry

Isaiah 55:8-9 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”

The Bible says in 1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to acceptedRead the rest of this entry

Only the right choices based on the right values would give you the right future. Moses made four major choices that shaped his life and destiny. And the first choice Moses made was he refused to be defined by others. Moses refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. Read the rest of this entry

Choices

Haggai 1:7 “Think very carefully about your choices.” (Voice)

Over the next few days, we are going to examine the life choices Moses had to make based on the things he valued which led to the greatness that God had for him. And if we make these choices based on the right values, we too will end up with the greatness that God has for His people. Read the rest of this entry

Value System

Haggai 2:15 “Now think carefully about your choices from this point forward…” (Voice)

The choices you make are so powerful and they determine the life you live. One major way of changing anything is to change the value you place on it. You cannot claim to value your finances if you do not place value on the things God has said you should place value on. Read the rest of this entry

Place Value

Psalm 40:7-8 “Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.” (KJV, emphasis added)

Today, we are going to focus on the book David was referring to in our anchor scripture because people often get the concept of the book wrong. As represented in the inserted illustration, the book of my life and your life has three chapters — Chapters A, B, and C. Chapter A is from birth to when you are of age. Read the rest of this entry

Choose Life

Psalm 119:29-30 “Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me and teach me your law. I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I have set my heart on your laws.”

Deuteronomy 30:17-19 But if you disobey and refuse to listen, and are led away to worship other gods, you will be destroyed. You will not live long in that land across the Jordan that you are about to occupy. I am now giving you the choice between life and death, between God’s blessing or curse, and I call heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Choose life! (TEV, emphasis added).
