And God Said: Destiny Provoking Name Change

‘Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee… And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall her name be’. Gen 17:5 &15.

God said and God is still saying destiny provoking name change. For some people, God is going to give you a new name because the one you have currently is destiny limiting. Many times people are limited by the names they are carrying and the only way to break free is a name change from the One who knows tomorrow. God had to change Abraham’s name from Abram [high, Read the rest of this entry

And God Said: Weddings

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Gen.2:18

God said and God is still saying weddings. ‘Then the Lord God said, it is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him’ [Gen.2:18 NLT]. In the New Testament, male and female are one in Christ; it is not good for the man or woman to be alone. God is saying that He will make you a help meet suitable for you. This is God’s promise; believe it and it shall come to pass in your life as it did for Adam. God decided to do this for Adam Read the rest of this entry

And God Said: Fruitfulness

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Gen.1:28

God said and is still saying fruitfulness. Every one trusting God for the fruit of the womb let your rejoicing start today because God has already spoken concerning your situation. Believe His Word today and by this time next year, you will be singing a different song. If it were me that said these words, then I give you full rights to question its authenticity. However, ‘…be fruitful, and Read the rest of this entry

Prepackaged

‘For I know the plans I have for you’, says the LORD. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope’. Jer.29:11

For I know the plans I have for you’, says the LORD’. For a number of us this is not the first time we are encountering this scripture. However, the Word admonishes us to renew our minds constantly with the Word. The plan for your life has already been made and laid out by God Almighty. This means you and I need to stop racking our heads about making fresh plans. Rather, in Read the rest of this entry

Understanding Favour: Response 3

For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy. Prov.2:10

You must let godly wisdom influence your responses and reactions to situations of favour.  Another form of rivalry between siblings occurs as a result   of an overflow of favour (favour by proximity). In this case, the other sibling begins to experience favour as a result of being around the favoured sibling. When you hang around someone who is favoured, just like anointing, it Read the rest of this entry

Understanding Favour: Response 2

He was the one who prayed to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do, and keep me from all trouble and pain!” And God granted him his request. 1Chro.4:10

Remember, God is always watching your responses. If, and I dare say when you respond properly, God will promote you. The fact that you did not start favoured does not mean that you should die u n-favoured. It will be your turn soon or even now if you will receive it. Jabez started out without favour; in fact his mother named him pain. He could have accepted it as his lot in life and die Read the rest of this entry

Understanding Favour: Response 1

As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. Rom.9:13

When you examine all the cases of rivalry, one common denominator is favour. Either parental favour (which brews bitterness); or divine favour. God has favourites, it may not make sense but it is God’s choice. God wants to teach us to understand favour and as such how to properly respond to favour so that Read the rest of this entry

Countdown

‘While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal’ 2cor 4:18

Is your focus on the temporal pain or the eternal gain? When you look at pain this way, it makes it bearable. Whenever you feel like the situation is unbearable, check, most times you are focusing on the wrong thing. We are able to bear pain when we are not looking at our current predicament. Rather, Read the rest of this entry

Your Calling

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 2 Cor.4:17

Have you ever wondered why God lets you experience storms? Or why you have prayed and prayed and still nothing seems to be happening? Or why it seems no one knows the cost of the life you now are so thankful for. ‘Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set Read the rest of this entry

According to His purpose

‘The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ… and God has put each part just where He wants it. In fact, some parts of the body that seem weakest and least important are actually the most necessary’ 1Cor.12:18b, 22.

For a lot of people, it is not news that God has a part for us all to play in His big picture.  The above scripture points out to us that even though we are part of one body, we have different and unique roles. Every one of us is fruit with seed in itself and God expects us to bear fruit. In God’s Favourite House, we say Read the rest of this entry
