You Need To Know V

‘Truly, O God of Israel, our Savior, You work in mysterious ways’ Isa.45:15

‘This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayedHab.2:3.  Today’s devotional is a continuation of yesterday’s discourse. You need to know that God will commit to ‘what’ but He will not always commit to ‘how’. Joseph knew the ‘what’ – he was going to be above his brothers. He knew this for a fact because God showed him ‘what’ was to come. Joseph Read the rest of this entry

You Need To Know III

‘And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability’ Acts 2:4

You need to know that God does the illogical. God does things that don’t make sense. As you begin to experience God unboxed, expect the illogical. The gift of tongues does not make any sense to the person speaking it. But you see, that is God for you. For a lot of people, what is limiting their realization of God and their next level is logic. We are waiting for everything to Read the rest of this entry

You Need To Know II

‘Suddenly, there was a sound from Heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting’ Acts 2:2

God does not only bless the people that we do not agree with or bless us in spite of those that do not agree with us, God does the unexpected. God shows up suddenly; He likes to surprise people. I have not met a woman that does not like to be surprised by her husband. God loves to show up when we least expect Him. For many of us, if we think back 10 or 20 years, we will never have Read the rest of this entry

You Need To Know I

‘They were completely amazed. “How can this be?” they exclaimed. “These people are all from Galilee’ Acts.2:7

God also blesses those that don’t agree with us. The fact that God is doing awesome things in your life, and you do not agree with your brother does not mean God will stop doing great things in his life. God will bless the people you disagree with inspite of the fact that you disagree with them. You may be one of those who think that this is totally unfair. Some people think that Read the rest of this entry

Manifest Presence

‘And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages… But others in the crowd ridiculed them, saying, “They’re just drunk, that’s all!” Acts2:4 & 13

You have to live your life void of fear of people ridiculing you or calling you names. And plug into the purposes of God. The disciples were wise enough to separate themselves as Jesus instructed and wait for the promise. When they received the promise, some people’s reaction was to ridicule them. Ignore the jesters. The Holy Spirit is the power of God. He is God Himself. He is the Read the rest of this entry

Debunking Lies III

‘It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God’ 2 Cor.3:5

The enemy will try to put things in our way to convince us that we are insignificant and unimportant. Another lie the enemy says is that you are not good enough. He says things like, you are not so bad but you are not good enough. You need to become better to matter. The truth is that you and I can never be good enough in your own strength [Isa.64:6]. Yet in Christ Jesus, you are good enough for God. In your own strength you cannot be good enough. No matter how hard you try. It is impossible. Yet when you Read the rest of this entry

The Anointing

‘And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing… for God was with him.’ Acts 10:38

The presence of God creates the anointing. And the anointing sustains the presence. They go hand in hand. If Jesus needed the anointing, trust me, you need the anointing too. God anointed Jesus and He will anoint you too but you must desire it. The anointing does a couple of things in the life of every believer besides breaking yokes. The anointing enables you to walk in the supernatural, Jesus was anointed and He was able to walk in the supernatural. There anointing prepares you for the work that Read the rest of this entry

Little Beginnings II

‘He tells us everything over and over— one line at a time, one line at a time, a little here, and a little there!’ Isa.28:10

The days of little beginnings are not days of lazy beginnings. The Bible says, ‘the Lord rejoices to see the work begin’. The foundation of every project is the most important part. God wants to teach you the little things that lead to establishment. Pay attention. ‘…one line at a time, one line at a time, a little here, and a little there’. Excusing laziness at your foundational stage will only lead to lack. Little beginnings can also be equated to the place of waiting perhaps for the next big thing or for the doors to open unto you. God has placed Read the rest of this entry

Little Beginnings I

‘Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin…’ Zech.4:10

A lot of times we are so caught up with racing to the top that we miss out on vital lessons we need to learn along the way to the top. Never ignore the things you think are time wasting or useless. Most of the time, these are the lessons you will need in future. We are always so caught up with the seemingly big things that we tend to miss out on, overlook and grumble about the seemingly little things God is doing. ‘He who is faithful in little will be faithful in much’. It is the little things that God has begun that will lead you to the Read the rest of this entry

Incompetence

‘Seest thou a man diligent in his business? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men’ Proverbs.22:29 [KJV]

Using a dull axe requires great strength, so sharpen the blade. That’s the value of wisdom; it helps you succeedEcc.10:10. You have been given the axe and the wood, however succeeding at this task is tied to sharpening the blade of the axe. Incompetence would mean knowing the blade needs to be sharpened but refusing to sharpen it. Incompetence is the bane of a lot of people. Many times, we excuse incompetence when we should not. For instance, a math teacher who does not know how to solve equations has no business teaching Read the rest of this entry
