Levels
‘This was their song: “Saul has killed his thousands, and David his ten thousands!”’ 1Sam.18:7
The fourth truth about money is money has levels. Prosperity has levels. The different levels are: the poverty level -every one that is struggling with poverty Jesus will set you free today. The lack level – this is when the person is not poor but is in lack. The comfortable level – the person is not in poverty but the person is not in riches either, they are just comfortable. The problem with being comfortable is that one disaster can send you back to poverty. When the psalmist Read the rest of this entry
For Your Good I
‘They even did more than we had hoped, for their first action was to give themselves to the Lord and to us, just as God wanted them to do’ 2 Cor.8:5
Prioritizing God is the best thing you can do for yourself whether you are married or single. Make God your desire and then let Him be the one to fulfill your desires. Are you single and sexually active, I have a question for you. Can you let sex go in pursuit of Christ Jesus? Can you do that for your sake, for the sake of your future spouse, and your destiny? Is that too much to ask you to do? Definitely not! Like some said, “Even in those moments when God is all that you have, Read the rest of this entry
In Marriage
‘The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs. The wife gives authority over her body to her husband, and the husband gives authority over his body to his wife’ 1 Cor.7:3-4
For you to have a fulfilled marriage you must experience Philia, Agape, and Eros. If you are married and all you have been experiencing is Philia and Agape then you cannot have a fulfilled married life really. Singles are even better positioned because they don’t need to be worried about Eros. One mistake a lot of married people make is compartmentalizing sex and viewing it as separate from love. In marriage, sex is love. I hope this doesn’t sound Read the rest of this entry
You Decide
‘Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond…’ Rom.12:2 [MSG]
When it comes to every area of our lives, everyone must decide what will be the authority. You have to decide what will dictate the things you do and how you do the things you do. You could either accept the culture as the authority in your life or you could accept the Word of God as the authority in your life. If you are a believer in Christ Jesus then you should accept the Word of God as the authority in your life. Regardless of what the culture is saying or doing, the Word Read the rest of this entry
Where Have You Been?
‘I’ve perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. Come, let’s drink our fill of love until morning. Let’s enjoy each other’s caresses, for my husband is not home. He’s away on a long trip’ Prov.7:17-19.
The third lesson from Proverbs 7 is ,she promised secrecy. Every seduction works because secrecy is promised. Like I say, you are not a thief until you are able to steal and no one will find out; but you still refuse to steal. A lot of people will steal if they are sure that no one will find out. A lot of people will commit adultery if they are 100% sure that no one will find out. That was what the lady promised ‘no one would know my husband has Read the rest of this entry
The Key Of Acceptance I
‘“At last!” the man exclaimed. “This one is bone from my bone, and flesh from my flesh! She will be called ‘woman,’ because she was taken from ‘man’ Gen.2:23
The second key to having a great relationship whether married or single is the key of acceptance. Adam had never seen a woman before. Eve was the first woman he set his eyes on, yet Adam saw Eve and he said ‘at last – bone of my bone’. Meaning Adam accepted Eve totally. For some people, God has brought them Eve but their heart is sent on sampling other options. We have to learn to accept the people that God has put in our lives. Read the rest of this entry
Make God Happy
‘So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image’ 2 Cor.3:18.
While praying, I often say thank you to the Lord for choosing me because I realize that in truth I could never have chosen Him. You too must understand that Jesus found you first and it was He who refused to let go. You can love Him because He first loved you. It is with this same confidence that we also as Matthew did arrange for the people in our lives to meet with Jesus knowing that He already has His eyes on them. Found people find people! Mathew arranged a dinner party. Think about it, it was a usual thing for his friends to Read the rest of this entry
Expected Response
‘…Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master’ Gen.4:7
How did God expect Cain to respond? Simple God said ‘why are you so angry? The Lord asked Cain. Why do you look so dejected? You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master’ Gen.4:6-7. God told Cain what was about to happen. Isn’t God amazing? God said to Cain this is about to happen to you. Subdue this thing, confront it, and deal with it. So God rejecting Cain’s offering and rejecting Read the rest of this entry
Count The Cost?
‘We must not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and killed his brother. And why did he kill him? Because Cain had been doing what was evil, and his brother had been doing what was righteous’ 1 John.3:12.
It was not just about the offering, it was about the behavioral pattern of Cain. God must be honored. You cannot dishonor God in your day-to-day life and expect that you will play to the gallery and God will be impressed. God will not be impressed because your daily decisions may be personal but they are never private. In fact, they will eventually become public one day. You may think that it is personal but guess what, it is not really private. Look at the fig tree; it was boisterous with leaves, putting up a show. Jesus moved closer Read the rest of this entry
Acceptable Offering
Abel also brought a gift-the best of the firstborn lambs from his flock. The Lord accepted Abel and his gift’ Gen.4:4.
David said, I will not offer to God something that will not cost me anything’. So we see from scripture that you cannot separate the man and his offering because the man is his offering and the offering is the man. An offering accepted is the man accepted and an offering rejected is the man rejected. I am praying that God will not reject your offering in the Name of Jesus. The Bible says that God rejected Cain and his offering but He accepted Abel and his offering. You need to make sure that your life is first acceptable to God. And how do Read the rest of this entry
