Make Him Priority
‘The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the Lord they God’ Ex.23:19 [KJV]
What on earth are you making priority? A lot of times, we tend to make things that are not important and of no eternal value priority. ‘Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and He will give you everything you need’ Luke 12:31. God must come first in everything. He must be first in priority and first in sequence. A lot of times Read the rest of this entry
Give It All Out!
‘Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back’. Luke 6:38
The extent to which you give is the extent to which you will be blessed. The prodigal son left his house on the significant level and ended up on the survival level, in penury. The reason is because he spent everything and gave nothing. This will not be our portion in Jesus Name. Jacob on the other hand left his father’s house on Read the rest of this entry
Levels Of Living
‘Give to anyone who asks; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back’ Luke 6:30
There are three levels of living. Moving from one level to another requires giving [sowing]. You cannot expect to grow by consistently being on the receiving end. You grow by being a giver. No one is born to receive alone. In actual fact, receiving is a benefit of giving. We were born to give. Born to give life (birth), money, comfort, clothes, etc. If you have clothes you have not Read the rest of this entry
The Cross
‘Abba, Father, He cried out, everything is possible for You. Please take this cup of suffering away from Me. Yet I want Your will to be done, not Mine’ Mark.14:36
There comes a time in every life when our will crosses with the will of the Father. Giving can be a huge sacrifice but it’s the best way to be a blessing and be blessed. Jesus Himself struggled with giving His life and this was the one thing on His mind when He went to Gethsemane to pray. Scripture records that while He prayed that night, His sweat was like blood. He too asked the Read the rest of this entry
Stop Making Excuses
‘If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save is. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty’ Daniel 3:17
God will not work with our timing but we have the assurance that He will always come through for us. Many times, because we love God and we don’t want to offend Him, we find ourselves making excuses for Him. God does not want us to make excuses for Him. God says I Am Who I Am; in other words, I AM able to perform. The secret of David’s victory is simple, every time he Read the rest of this entry
Not Now, Not Ever
‘…Say this to the people of Israel: Yahweh, the God of your ancestors – the God of Abraham …Isaac, and …Jacob… This is My eternal name, My Name to remember for all generations’. Ex. 3:15
Moses was the man who got into trouble trying to help God’s people in the first place. Then God appears to him and instructs him to go back and help these same people. However, the major difference this time is that God promised to be with him. Moses got there and performed amazing signs and wonders; he experienced God real time. He was leading hundreds of Read the rest of this entry
Gratitude
‘This will remind each new generation of Israelites that I made their ancestors live in shelters when I rescued them from the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God’ Lev.23:43
The third significance of ingathering is Gratitude. The feast of ingathering was to remind the Jews of how they dwelt in tabernacles, boots and tents when they were going from Egypt to the Promised Land. For some of us God is going to put an end to the pain we are experiencing forever but God does not want you to forget. In fact I am certain that for some people, the only Read the rest of this entry
Ingathering
‘Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’ John 7:38
The feast of ingathering as it is known with the Jews is also known as the feast of tabernacle or the feast of booths. The physical meaning is gathering all the harvest of the agricultural year. Every harvest of the agricultural year that previously missed the sickle or shovel at the time of ingathering everything is brought in. And as this year is winding down I am praying Read the rest of this entry
Joseph, Caleb and Joshua
‘Don’t be so naive and self-confident. You’re not exempt. You could fall flat on your face as easily as anyone else. Forget about self-confidence; it’s useless. Cultivate God-confidence’ 1Cor.10:12 [MSG]
God gave Joseph a great vision which he shared with his father and his brothers. His brothers became envious and conspired to kill him. But God delivered him and instead He was sold into slavery. Here was Joseph with his big vision but on his way to become a slave in Egypt. Joseph could have decided to hold on to the goodness in his father’s house and refuse to learn in the wilderness. But Joseph transitioned well and remained a prime minister in his heart. Even in Read the rest of this entry
The End, The New Beginning
‘True, God made everything beautiful in itself and in its time—but He’s left us in the dark, so we can never know what God is up to, whether He’s coming or going’ Ecc.3:11 [MSG]
The third phase of transition is the end, the new beginning phase. This is when you see the fulfillment of God’s prophecy in your life. You have been trusting God for a life partner all along. He has led you past the end of your single days and the beginning of your transitioning phase. Then He took you to the wilderness when He renewed your mind, changed your Read the rest of this entry
