Production System

Psalm 65:9-10 “You take care of the land. You water it and make it fertile… That’s how you make the crops grow. You pour rain on the ploughed fields; you soak the fields with water. You make the ground soft with rain, and you make the young plants grow.” (ERV)

Today’s devotional is a continuation of the final point from yesterday. However, the image inserted in today’s devotional is slightly different from the image that was in yesterday’s devotional. Read the rest of this entry

Interconnected

Isaiah 55:10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater” (NKJV)

The rain shows that God is a God of systems. Joshua 5:11-12The day after the Passover, that very day, they ate some of the produce of the land: unleavened bread and roasted grain. The manna stopped the day after they ate this food from the land; there was no longer any manna for the Israelites, but that year they ate the produce of Canaan.” (NIV). Read the rest of this entry

Systems

Genesis 8:22 “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.” (NKJV)

While praying, I was saying to God, “This generation needs answers, Lord, give us answers. Gen Z need answers, Lord, give us answers. Read the rest of this entry

The Rain

Deuteronomy 11:14-15 “Then he will send the rains in their proper seasons—the early and late rains—so you can bring in your harvests of grain, new wine, and olive oil. He will give you lush pastureland for your livestock, and you yourselves will have all you want to eat.”

Now!

Hebrews 4:7 “So God set another time for entering his rest, and that time is today. God announced this through David much later in the words already quoted: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts.”

1 Kings 18:41Then Elijah said to King Ahab, “Now go eat and drink. A heavy rain is coming.” (ERV). Read the rest of this entry

Go Home!

1 Kings 18:44 “…Elijah told the servant, “Go tell King Ahab to get his chariot ready and go home now. If he does not leave now, the rain will stop him.” (ERV, emphasis added).

Yesterday, we said that the phrase “go home” highlighted in this scripture is very significant. The first implication of “go home” is to Repent. Read the rest of this entry

Dynamics & Meaning

1 Kings 18:41&43 “Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go get something to eat and drink, for I hear a mighty rainstorm coming!” “…Go and look out toward the sea.” The servant went and looked, then… said, “I didn’t see anything…” Seven times Elijah told him to go and look.” (emphasis added)

We will kick off today’s devotional still on the story of my friend I shared with you yesterday. Honestly, I thank God that he spoke to me, and thank God for the wisdom to redirect him. Read the rest of this entry

Watch It

Isaiah 11:3 “His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears” (NKJV)

“Man of God, Prophet Sir, you have been fasting and praying for a thunderstorm, for the clouds to pour. Now you hear of a small cloud and you are this excited?” Listen, if you do not move when you see a small cloud, the rain will stop you. Read the rest of this entry

Don’t Dismiss

1 Kings 18:44 “Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.” Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him, ‘Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!’” (emphasis added).

Psalm 123:2We look to Jehovah our God for his mercy and kindness just as a servant keeps his eyes upon his master or a slave girl watches her mistress for the slightest signal.” (TLB). Read the rest of this entry

Be Sensitive!

Psalm 123:1-2 “I lift my eyes to you, O God, enthroned in heaven. We keep looking to the Lord our God for his mercy, just as servants keep their eyes on their master, as a slave girl watches her mistress for the slightest signal.”

The first thing that stands out from 1 Kings 18:41-44 is Go and Look. The second thing that stands out is Look Towards The Sea. The third thing that stands out is What Do You See? The rain is upon us, it has been declared. Read the rest of this entry
