King of kings

‘You are blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That’s when you discover who you really are, and your place in God’s family’ Matt.5:9 [MSG]

Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God. There are a lot of wars and killings going on in our world today because of ‘religion’. People are snuffing other peoples’ lives in defense of their god. People are doing all sorts of strange things in the Name of God. Listen to me, if your god cannot fight for himself something is wrong with that god. The church learnt a long time ago that God is greater than any insult from any movie. Do you know how many people have abused Jesus? Does that stop Him from being Read the rest of this entry

Prioritize Hunger!

Is any one thirsty? Come and drink-even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk-it’s all free!Isa.55:1.

Come and drink-even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk-it’s all free! Who is to come? You are! Yet the challenge with a lot of us, the reason why we don’t get this hunger fed and our thirst filled is because we do not understand the priority of hunger. My grand mother would say, ‘if hunger enters a man, nothing else can enter the man’. So hunger must be attended to. Jesus says, ‘seek first the kingdom of God and his Read the rest of this entry

Currency For Satisfaction

‘This is the generation [description] of those who seek Him [who inquire of and from Him and of necessity require Him], who seek Your Face, [O God of] Jacob’ Ps.24:6 [AMP].

The third way we can become hungry and thirsty for God is by fasting. ‘And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened’ Luke 11:9-10. When you stay in the place of seeking God, suddenly you will realize that all that truly Read the rest of this entry

Generating Hunger

‘Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ-that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective’ Col.3:2 [MSG]

No matter how long you have been a Christian for, it is important to know how to  generate a hunger for God; How to continually stir yourself up in seeking God. The first way is to set your love on Him. Just choose to set your love on Him [Col.3:2]. The Bible says set, as though it is our choice to do that because in truth you long for who you are in love with. Have you noticed? So how do I become thirsty for God? Set your affection on Him. Another way of Read the rest of this entry

Raising The Bar

‘God, create a pure heart in me, and make my spirit strong again’ Ps.51:10 [ERV]

God can skip a whole generation and look for you because your heart is right. The greatest prophet in the land made the mistake of judging by the exterior about six times and God kept saying no. The Bible says until they found David everybody was standing and when David came the Holy Ghost said to him that is the man. I am praying in the Name of Jesus that every thing will stand at attention until you show up because your heart will be right Read the rest of this entry

Acts Of Mercy I

‘For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home’ Matt.25:35.

Jesus was tempted in every way but without sin. There is no temptation that you are going through right now that Jesus has not experienced in one form or the other. When I read this scripture a long time ago, I said to myself that it is not possible because I did not think Jesus would have experienced what I was experiencing. But the truth is that if the Bible says that Jesus was tempted in every way then He was tempted in everyway. Jesus was 100 percent Read the rest of this entry

Do Not Apologize!

‘The people in the camp were jealous of Moses and envious of Aaron, the Lord’s holy priest. Because of this, the earth opened up; it swallowed Dathan
and buried Abiram and the other rebels’ Ps.106:16-17

Jesus says, ‘blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven’. “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before youMatt.5:10-12 [NIV]. Are you going through intense persecution because of your Read the rest of this entry

Follow Him!

‘And he saith unto then. Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men’ Matt.4:19 [KJV]

A good number of Christians are struggling in their health, marriages, jobs, businesses, and even in their calling because they are carrying what God has not designed for them to carry. You need to launch out daily knowing that Jesus is in control – so relax! The last time I checked He is still the King of kings. God has not called us to figure everything out. ‘Follow Me, and I will make you…’. By the Read the rest of this entry

Salvation vs. Deliverance

‘Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life’ John 8:12

A number of Christians both old and new are puzzled by the salvation versus deliverance subject. Some say, since knowledge is a form of deliverance then why do people need to go for deliverance? Others wonder if there is a difference between salvation and deliverance because the Word of God states that whom the Son of man sets free is free indeed. Some Christians will tell you that salvation is the ultimate covering for all things so there is actually no need for deliverance from past deeds. Read the rest of this entry

Purity

‘It’s not what goes into your body that defiles you; you are defiled by what comes from your heart’. Mark 7:15

People are quick to quote scripture out of context for their own personal gain. Jesus describes this as ‘skillfully sidestepping God’s law in order to hold on to our own tradition’ [Read Mark 7:1-23]. So you find people in an attempt to justify bad habits such as drinking alcohol quoting this scripture because after all Jesus was the one who said It’s not what goes into your body that defiles you; you are defiled by what comes from your heart’. And sometimes it is people who have been wondering whether to indulge in a sinful craving Read the rest of this entry
