“My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?” Matt.27:46b

Third Words
When Jesus saw His mother standing there beside the disciple He loved, He said to her, “Dear woman, here is your son. And He said to this disciple, “Here is your mother.” John 19:26-27a
The third words of Jesus are the words of Relationship. Jesus was on the cross, in pain and He still had compassion and a sense of responsibility towards His mother. Many times people use the pressures of life, work, or career as excuses to be nasty to their spouse, friends and even family. Some people go as far as Read the rest of this entry
Second Words
And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43
Jesus’ second words on the cross were ‘today you will be with me in paradise’. First Words
Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing”. Luke 23:34a
‘Father, forgive them for they don’t know what they are doing’. We know that He was in excruciating pain but Jesus still had to say what was most important even in death. Forgiveness was important to Him, a twofold forgiveness. Firstly He had chosen to forgive His crucifiers, inspite of the ridicule, abuses, pain and punishment. Secondly, He went to God on their behalf asking for forgiveness Read the rest of this entry
Jesus Said…
‘But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed’ Isa.53:5 [NLT]
Jesus’ sole aim for coming was to be crucified. His being nailed to the cross was necessary so that all our sins will be forgiven. Jesus had to die because ‘…without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness’ of sins [Heb.9:22b]. Generations past and present, our fore fathers and our fathers; we all have sinned in God’s eyes. God must judge sin; the wages of sin is death. Jesus had to Read the rest of this entry
Access
‘…For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it’. Luke18:16b-17
Some people want to enter into the Kingdom and the abundance of God but are ‘too big’ to meet the requirements. Jesus says whoever wants to enter the Kingdom of God must come as a little child. In other words, entering the Kingdom means shredding every trace of pride, self-righteousness, self-sufficiency etc. For the Kingdom of God to manifest in your finances, Read the rest of this entry
The Door
‘And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven’ Matt.16:19a.
A door symbolizes access on one hand and control on the other hand. If God wants you to open a door, it is safe to assume you have the keys to the door. In actual fact, God will not ask you to open a door that He has not first given you the keys to. God says ‘And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you Read the rest of this entry
It’s All in the Word
It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. Isa. 55:11
Once God speaks, the Word has enough in its self to bring to pass what God has spoken. God’s Word is potent. When you are standing outside your promise land staring in at the giants that are currently occupying it, what you want most is for God to send a mighty hand but God is sending His potent and timeless Word. The Word that is released to accomplish all that God has Read the rest of this entry
And God Said: Weddings
And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. Gen.2:18
God said and God is still saying weddings. ‘Then the Lord God said, it is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him’ [Gen.2:18 NLT]. In the New Testament, male and female are one in Christ; it is not good for the man or woman to be alone. God is saying that He will make you a help meet suitable for you. This is God’s promise; believe it and it shall come to pass in your life as it did for Adam. God decided to do this for Adam Read the rest of this entry
And God Said: Fruitfulness
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Gen.1:28
God said and is still saying fruitfulness. Every one trusting God for the fruit of the womb let your rejoicing start today because God has already spoken concerning your situation.
