The Attitude

Matt.10:40-41 “Anyone who receives you receives me, and anyone who receives me receives the Father who sent me.  If you receive a prophet as one who speaks for God, you will be given the same reward as a prophet…”

If there is a prophetic declaration and you receive it, it is not that you are receiving it from a man. Scripture states that you are receiving it from who? From God, that is how it is. You have to be decisive. Our second example about all or nothing is from 2Kings 13:14-19, please read it again. Read the rest of this entry

Wait & Watch

Ps.130:5-6 “I pray to God—my life a prayer—and wait for what he’ll say and do. My life’s on the line before God, my Lord, waiting and watching till morning, waiting and watching till morning.” (MSG)

Yesterday, we started talking about taking a stand and we are looking at the story of Esther, please read Esther 4:1-16. From this reading, the first two things we highlighted are the importance of having boundaries physically and spiritually, Read the rest of this entry

Which Side?

Ps.16:“Lord, you alone are my inheritance, my cup of blessing. You guard all that is mine.”

Believe it or not but even children prefer to have friends who are all in. I had a conversation with some children a while back, I asked them, supposing it is your birthday and you are having a party, would you like your friends to be at our party or stay home and watch cartoons? The Nine, IV

Ps.34:1&3 “Lord! I’m bursting with joy over what you’ve done for me! My lips are full of perpetual praise. Join me, everyone! Let’s praise the Lord together. Let’s make him famous! Let’s make his name glorious to all.” (TPT)

Luke 17:17Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine?” We have been searching for the nine and so far, we have found six. The first one listened to the voice of doubt. The second one said his healing was a coincidence. Read the rest of this entry

The Nine, II

Luke 17:17-18 “Jesus: Didn’t all ten receive the same healing this fellow did? Where are the other nine? Was the only one who came back to give God praise an outsider?” (Voice)

Yesterday, we found two out of nine; the one who listened to the voice of doubt and the one who said his miracle of healing was a coincidence. Third, the one who said, ‘too little, too late’. Unbelievable excuse and it was what actually held him back. Read the rest of this entry

Heart Of It

Philip.2:9 “Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honour and gave him the name above all other names”

This was Paul’s letter, witnessing, testimony to the Philippians of a time when every knee will bow to Jesus. Jews, Gentiles, Buddhists, Muslims, Hindus, everyone. Abacha will be there. Margaret Thatcher and Osama Bin Laden will be there. Read the rest of this entry

Giving Thanks

Psalm 50:23 “But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honours me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.”

Luke 17:11-19As Jesus continued on toward Jerusalem, he reached the border between Galilee and Samaria. As he entered a village there, ten men with leprosy stood at a distance, crying out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” He looked at them and said, “Go show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed of their leprosy. One of them, when he saw that he was healed, came back to Jesus, shouting, “Praise God!” He fell to the ground at Jesus’ feet, thanking him for what he had done. This man was a Samaritan. Jesus asked, “Didn’t I heal ten men? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” And Jesus said to the man, “Stand up and go. Your faith has healed you.” (emphasis added). Read the rest of this entry

Engage

Luke 19:12-13 “He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.” (KJV, emphasis added).

Our text over the next few days is from Luke 19:11-13 (KJV), Luke 19:15-26 (NLT), please read. The first thing we are told is that Jesus was near to Jerusalem, meaning Jesus was approaching the cross, the time He would leave His disciples and lay down His life. Read the rest of this entry

Dan.10:12-14 “…Since the first day you began to pray… your request has been heard in heaven… I have come in answer to your prayer. But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, came to help me…”

When was the answer released? Immediately but when did Daniel receive it? Twenty-one days later. What do you think would have happened if Daniel did not tarry in the place of prayer insisting on an answer? Read the rest of this entry

No More Delay!

Num.14:28 “Say to them, ‘As I live,’ says the Lord, ‘just what you have spoken in My hearing I will most certainly do to you” (AMP)

God has made you and I kings and priests to Him and where the word of a king is there is power. If you look at the illustration in today’s devotional, box A is your rights, and box B is your reality. Eph.1:3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ” (KJV, emphasis added). Read the rest of this entry
