Dominion
‘And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion… over every living thing that moveth upon the earth’ Gen. 1:28[KJV].
Every promotion from God attracts a new level of battle or opposition from the enemy camp. Every promotion requires a new level of responsibility and dedication. This is why God will not just land a blessing on you without growing you and preparing you for the battle or responsibility that might come as a result of that blessing. One of the mistakes some Christians make is that they assume that they do Read the rest of this entry
Who Spoke Into Your Life?
Gen. 48:20 ‘So Jacob blessed the boys… “The people of Israel will use your names when they give a blessing. They will say, ‘May God make you as prosperous as Ephraim and Manasseh. In this way, Jacob put Ephraim ahead of Manasseh’
‘Gather together and hear, you sons of Jacob, and listen to Israel your father’ Gen.49:2. The question is who has spoken into your life?
Inherited II
‘I will cause your descendants to become as numerous as the stars of the sky, and I will give them all these lands. And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed. I will do this because Abraham listened to me…’ Gen.26:4-5
Blessings can also be inherited. Blessings can move from generation to generation. Like in the case of Isaac, there are certain things that our parents have done before God and men that we are enjoying today. ‘I will do this because Abraham listened to me and obeyed all my requirements, commands, decrees, and instructions’ Gen.26:5. I have no doubt that a lot of the spiritual progress that most of Read the rest of this entry
Inherited I
‘Instead, everyone will die for their own sin; whoever eats sour grapes—their own teeth will be set on edge’ Jer.31:30 [NIV]
Blessings and curses are not only provoked, they are also inherited. Blessings and curses can be passed down from one generation to another generation. This is why you find situations where a grandfather is cursed and struggles with it, the father struggles with the same thing, and the son finds himself struggling with the same thing. Such curses, this season as we are waiting on God, would be Read the rest of this entry
Remember and Give Thanks
‘Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness’ Ps. 145:7.
‘Remember the wonders He has performed, His miracles, and the rulings He has given’ 1 Chron.16:12. There is no better time to dedicate to thanksgiving than at the end of the year. Take time out today to sit with God and give Him thanks for January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December. Remember His unwavering love Read the rest of this entry
He Is The Alpha and Omega
‘I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One’ Rev.1:8.
The fact that God is saying that He is going to do a new thing means you have not seen anything yet. The ability to see what God is doing is not reserved only for pastors, ministers, or anointed men of God. ‘In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on servants—men and women alike’ Joel 2:29. You may be down but God is saying it is not over for you yet so do not be afraid. The Read the rest of this entry
See It
‘For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland’ Isa.43:19
God wants you to see what is going to happen to you in 2013 before it happens. It is not just the exclusive preserve of some very anointed pastors, ministers, or a few powerful leaders. God says in that day will I pour out My Spirit on all flesh. God is set to do a new thing in your life. However, God is saying you need to pause. Some of us are moving too fast for our own good. God is saying Read the rest of this entry
A New Thing
‘I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea’ Isa. 43:16
The beauty of having a new day, a new hour, a new month, or a new year is because of who God is. God is a God of new beginnings. ‘I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea. But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I Read the rest of this entry
Cross Over
‘For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven’ Ecc.3:1
God put time and seasons in place so that the day will come to an end. The week will come to an end, the month will come to an end, the year will come to an end, and to point to the fact that every life will come to an end. A time will come in every life that you will be crossing over. As we are about to cross over now from 2012 into 2013. A time will come in your life and in my life that we will Read the rest of this entry
He Gives Us His Gifts
‘A person who speaks in tongues is strengthened personally, but one who speaks a word of prophecy strengthens the entire church’ 1 Cor. 14:4
The gifts of the Holy Spirit edify and build us up. The Holy Spirit gives us His gifts to build us up as individuals and as a Church. The word edify in the Greek is translated oikodomio; oiko means to build while domio means dominion. It literally means to build a house. The word edify means to build up, to embolden, or to encourage. The gift of prophecy, word of knowledge, word of wisdom, working of miracles, diverse kinds of tongues, and so on are gifts of the Holy Spirit. All the gifts Read the rest of this entry
