The Door

And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven’ Matt.16:19a.

A door symbolizes access on one hand and control on the other hand. If God wants you to open a door, it is safe to assume you have the keys to the door. In actual fact, God will not ask you to open a door that He has not first given you the keys to. God says ‘And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you Read the rest of this entry

Repentance

Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Psalm 51:1

I encourage you to read the entire Psalm 51; it is a comprehensive lesson on repentance God’s way. When it comes to sin and repentance, God expects us to respond in three ways. Firstly, we must see that there is a problem. ‘Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love…’ Ps.51:1a. David in his heart accepted that there was a problem and so he sought God for mercy and Read the rest of this entry

Tussle

We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. 2 Cor.10:4

You must understand that for every Word God gives you there is a constant tussle until the Word accomplishes God’s purpose in your life. For you to go to the next level, God will give you a Word, and then men will give you a word. It is almost an eternal battle between what God is saying and what men are saying concerning you. The only way to fulfill your destiny is to overcome this tug of Read the rest of this entry

And God Said: Revelations

‘And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM and WHAT I AM, and I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I AM has sent me to you!’ Ex.3:14 [AMP]

And God said and God is still saying revelations. Paul, understanding the need for constant revelations in every Christian’s life, prayed ‘[For I always pray to] the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him’ Eph. 1:17[AMP]. In other words, that Read the rest of this entry

Keys to Please II

God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. Matt.5:8

Guard your heart because your life flows from your heart. What you do shows the state of your heart. I am sure you hear this often, people being corrected perhaps for the way they dress and they immediately say ‘God sees my heart’. God is saying you need to get that heart right because your life flows from your heart. Your heart explains why you ask God for what you ask for.

The heart explains why you really brought that need to God in prayer. This may seem simple but it will change your life – check your heart. When the pressure of life comes, because it will come, you must guard your heart with all that you have. If you succeeded in guarding your heart, the springs of life will yet flow again. However, if your heart gets corrupt in the process [defiled or hardened], then God has a problem with that. The reason why a number of us are where we are today, devoid of progress, is because of our hearts. Some people have such an unforgiving heart. You have chosen not to forgive the man that you can see but you are asking God for forgiveness. God wants you to forgive and not payback evil for evil. Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die. God does not want us to rejoice when He is dealing with our enemies or those that are against us. Forgiveness must be total, even between men, because if you rejoice at their suffering, God will stop their suffering. He will start to bless them before your eyes. Be gracious, this is what God wants. Are you in agreement with God, can you say that in your life you are in agreement with God and walking with God and pleasing him.

Prayer: Lord, please teach me complete forgiveness. I choose to agree with You and please You all my days in Jesus Name.

Walking with God

I will set My dwelling in and among you, and My soul shall not despise or reject or separate itself from you. And I will walk in and with and among you and will be your God, and you shall be My people. Lev. 26:11-12[AMP]

God wants to have a relationship with you. Through Jesus, He established a more personal relationship with us were we can talk to Him personally and not through a priest. Walking with God demands two things; first is Agreeing with God, the second thing is Pleasing God.

  1. Agreement: Walking with God requires agreement [Amos3:3]. Ask Read the rest of this entry

Satisfaction

The Lord, will comfort Israel again and have pity on her ruins. Her desert will blossom like Eden, her barren wilderness like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found there. Songs of thanksgiving will fill the air. Isa.51:3 [NLT]

The truth is that, the only person you are capable of totally pleasing is God. The converse is also true; the only person who can totally please you is God. If you think that when you get married you would be able to please your spouse completely, nothing can be further than that from the truth. You cannot totally please your spouse and your spouse cannot totally please you. Stop looking for Read the rest of this entry

Spiritual Harmony

And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. Genesis 5:24

The first thing that comes to mind when you see a picture of two people walking hand-in-hand is relationship or friendship. With God, this is the picture of spiritual harmony. Spiritual harmony is walking hand-in-hand with God. Gen5:23-24 [NLT]Enoch lived 365 years, walking in close fellowship with God. Then one day he disappeared, because God took him’. In actual fact, Read the rest of this entry

7th Root of Personal Disharmony: Doubt

[For being as he is] a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks, feels, decides] James1:8 [AMP]

Doubt is a major pointer to personal disharmony. Doubt basically occurs when there is no harmony between your spirit man and your intellectual man. Your heart says one things and your mind says something totally different. You are in service or listening to an audio message or perhaps even studying the Bible, and then your spirit man picks up on what God wants to do. Your spirit man Read the rest of this entry

5th Root of Personal Disharmony: Sin

People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess and turn from them, they will receive mercy. Prov.28:13

The 5th root cause of personal disharmony is Sin. God’s gifts of forgiveness and salvation are free for all but you have to accept His forgiveness and ask to be saved by Jesus. We are unable to attain righteousness on our own which is why we go to God in Christ Jesus. In Christ, we are able to access the promises of God because we have been reconnected through the ultimate sacrifice. God Read the rest of this entry
