Gift vs. Giver
Take your son, your only son—yes, Isaac, whom you love so much—and go to the land of Moriah. Go and sacrifice him as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will show you. Gen.22:2
Never become overly attached to the gifts and lose sight of the Giver. The building is not worth more than the builder. The builder can wake up any day and build new and more beautiful houses but the building has reached the peak of its potential and all it will ever be is a building. Spiritual Harmony
And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. Genesis 5:24
The first thing that comes to mind when you see a picture of two people walking hand-in-hand is relationship or friendship. With God, this is the picture of spiritual harmony. However, it is your choice what to fill it with. It is your choice whether to fill it with the Spirit of God unto life or wine. Just as the Read the rest of this entry
Carrying Fire
His head and His hair were white like wool, as white as snow. And His eyes were like flames of fire. Rev.1:14
Do not be unaware of your authority as a Christian and what you are carrying on the inside. Remember that you are not of this world even though you are in this world. You are carrying fire on the inside of you. I stumbled on this truth a while back in the church where I was serving at that time. A particular member of the praise team never could look me in the eye regardless of how many times Read the rest of this entry
Praying as an act of Worship
I urge you …to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority…This is good and pleases God our Savior 1Tim2:1-3 [NLT]
God admonishes us to dedicate time to praying for other people’s needs besides our own. From the scripture above it is clear that God considers this an act of worship and it pleases Him. A lot of people do not know that when you devote time to praying for other people, you are actually praying for yourself. Read the rest of this entry
