Divine Direction

‘Then at last the Lord said to me, ‘You have been wandering around in this hill country long enough; turn to the north’ Deut. 2:2-3

Principle #3 is the principle of divine direction. The principle of divine direction simply states that God knows your way out of poverty. Go and get that direction from Him. In the part of the world that I come from, they say ‘it is God that knows the path to wealth’ [Yoruba proverb translated]. In other words, there is something that you need to do to be successful but God alone know what it is. There is a path that the fowl of the air does not even know. There is a God in heaven that knows that thing that you will do to enter into your wealthy place. It is not what your father did; it is what you need to do. God knows what you need to do and God will release it to you today. The widow went to Elisha. Am I saying go and seek out a ‘prophet’? No, that is not what I am saying. ‘God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds’ Heb.1:1-2 [KJV]. In those days you would need to go to a prophet but today God is speaking to us through His Son. God speaking to us through His Son is two pronged. Firstly, through the Word ‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of menJohn 1:1-4 [KJV]. The Son is the Word. And secondly, through the Spirit; the Spirit is the Spirit of Christ. So when God wants to speak to you, He wants to talk to you yourself. God wants to talk to you more than you can imagine. In fact, God is talking to you already. You have to learn how to hear God in the seemingly little things – where to go, or what direction to take. Ask the Holy Spirit. When I meet someone for the first time and I shake his or her hand, I ask the Holy Spirit ‘who is this person?’ And the Holy Spirit usually would tell me and He is always correct of course. You may think that is trivial but God is interested in that. Ask Him  the little things.

Prayer: I decree that I will only hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus Name.
