Waiting Time IV

“The five who were foolish didn’t take enough olive oil for their lamps, but the other five were wise enough to take along extra oil…the bridegroom came. Then those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked” Matt.25:3-4&10.

Many of us are too concerned about when it will be our time or when our time will come. The problem is not going to be your time because your time will come. That is outside of your jurisdiction. The issue is, will you be ready when your time comes? Would your plans be ready? Would you be ready as a person? Would you be ready? Abraham Lincoln said, “I will study, I will prepare and my time will come”.

A friend of mine has a printing press and he prints top quality magazine. He had been praying for a breakthrough and one day God connected him with a man. This man was going to print something worth several hundred millions of naira. The man had seen the quality of his magazines, so he told him he wanted “xyz” by a certain date. When people with money want something, they want it by a certain date. And my friend went berserk; he could not seize that opportunity. Was it because God did not open the door? It was because he was not prepared. Stop worrying whether your time will come; because it will come. So if you are reading this today and you are in your season of waiting then know that the traffic light is on yellow already. Imagine if the light changes to green and your engine is off. When the light is green and your engine is off, you don’t only cause a problem for yourself, you cause a problem for everybody. People will begin to hunk their horns and some might even begin to scream out names at you. Some traffic lights change very quickly so you might still be trying to put on your car when it changes back to red. The point is this, you are not only moving for yourself, there are destinies that are tied to you. They are linked to you being sharp in the spirit. They are linked to you being sharp and recognizing when the light changes from yellow to green because when you move they move. So stop worrying about the time, start working on yourself. One prayer that I suggest to people waiting on God for a life partner is ‘Lord prepare me for the person you are preparing for me’. The issue is not the person or the timing; the issue is, are you ready?

Prayer: Holy Spirit, please prepare me for the place You are preparing for me, in Jesus Name.
