You Win

‘Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight’ Ps.144:1 [KJV]

Over the next few days we will be focused on the military battles of David. David fought other battles; for instance emotional battles, he did not do very well in those battles. David did not loose a single war – not one. That’s is just awesome. The Bible in the Book of Chronicles lists kings and the wars they fought. The ones they won and the ones they lost. David in recorded history, according to the Bible, fought the most wars of any king of Israel and he did not loose one. I’m praying today that beginning from today you will not lose a single battle in your life, in the mighty Name of Jesus. David fought so much that his successor, his son Solomon, didn’t have to fight a single battle. Largely because of David, God said to Solomon “I will give you peace roundabout”. So Solomon did not fight a single battle throughout his life. While that is good, it is also not very good. Solomon became pretty idle as a king, he practically backslid and began to worship other gods. As parents can love our children so much that we fight all their battles for them. We don’t even leave a single one for them to fight. That is not very good because those children would think life is about bread and butter. Their peers will be stronger than them because those ones know what it is to fight. Every human being was designed to fight even right from the womb. None of us would be alive if we were not fighters. Lets take our minds back to the day of our conception. Millions of sperm were running, each one trying to fertilize the egg first. Guess who won, you did. After nine months you were tired of staying in your mother’s stomach so you fought to come out and you won. So you were practically born a champion.

David’s life is peculiar; David actually fought twenty-seven battles and won all twenty-seven of them. Eleven of them with one person, his father in law and his boss Saul. Imagine fighting eleven battles with your father in law. You think you have very interesting in-laws? Look at David! David’s father in-law’s objective was to eliminate him. If you take all the eleven battles that David fought against Saul as one, then we can say David fought seventeen battles.

Prayer: Father, I decree in the Name of Jesus that I will record victory in every battle. Beginning from today, I will not lose any battle again, in Jesus Name.
