We Are The Church II

Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other’ Rom.12:4-5

Our vision in God’s Favourite House is to be filled with the life of Christ Jesus and released into our destinies, taking the world for Him. The vision of a local church is unique; there are no two churches that share the same vision really. But the mission of the church is the same regardless of its denomination. The church of Jesus has only one mission. Jesus said ‘go and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit’. If you are to condense all that Jesus said into two words, our unchanging imperative [mission] as a church is changed lives. When you combine this mission with our vision as a church it brings about the uniqueness in its implementation. God’s Favourite House, like every other church, is totally unique. Imagine a church that there is no politics whatsoever. Imagine a church where the only important name is the name of Jesus and not the name of the Pastor, Prophet, or Apostle. A church where the only name that matters and the only person that matters is Jesus. A church where the only person that MUST be in service is Jesus and not the Pastor. Imagine a church where the sick are healed, captives set free, the poor are made wealthy, and sinners are saved. Imagine a church where worship goes uninterrupted 24hours a day, 365days a year. Imagine a church where the presence of God is released into the community thereby breaking the power of darkness and establishing the Kingdom of light through which Nigeria is truly delivered. Imagine a church where life is impacted into our children. Imagine a church where people are released into their destines to take over the world for Jesus. Now stop imagining, this is God’s Favourite House. A church where everyone can be all that God has called them to be without any politics.

When people begin look for another church simply because they do not like the opening prayers in their current church anymore then know that they have stopped being a part of the church. While you are in church, be a part of the church!

Prayer: Father Lord, in Your grace, help me give myself to, align, and commit to the vision and mission of my church, in Jesus Name.
