Sustained Bloom III
“But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted to the Lord’s own house. They flourish in the courts of our God. Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.” Ps.92:12-14
The third key to a sustained bloom is, be planted in God’s house.
You need to take note of the following; firstly, the church is a family. Secondly, God expects you to be a member of church family. And because the church is a family and God expects you to be a member of a church family, therefore a Christian that is not planted in a local church is an orphan. A lot of Christians are just floating. Check the Word of God, check it well, God is the God of the local church. God wants you to be part of a community because your community determines what grows in you and what dies in you. Community is so powerful. Have you noticed that when you hang out with a certain group of people you tend to do things that are not so godly but when you hang around another group, you find yourself just loving God? That is the power of community. Similarly, when you hang around God’s Favourite House, miracles just begin to happen in your life [say amen]. Haven’t you noticed that it is impossible to remain poor in God’s Favourite House, not because we preach ‘prosperity gospel’, but because there is an anointing to prosper. You may be going through a rough patch right now, everybody goes through it and I have my story; but you will not die there. You are going to come out and you will prosper. Some people will say but God says that the poor you will have with you always. My question to such people is, does that section of the Bible have your name written there? You become a Christian by committing your life to Jesus Christ but you become a member of a church by
committing your self to other Christians. In other words, I am committed to you and you are committed to me. I say again, a Christian that is not planted in a local church is an orphan. Find out what it takes to be planted in your local church and do it.
For example, the number one requirement for being planted in God’s Favourite House is a personal profession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. If you do not accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we love you and we welcome you to keep coming to worship with us but you really cannot be planted among us. And the reason is because we are a community of believers in Christ Jesus. “…the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon. For they are transplanted to the Lord’s own house. They flourish in the courts of our God. Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.” Ps.92:12-14. Are you planted in the Lord’s house? It is one of the keys to a sustained bloom.
Prayer: Holy Spirit, plant my feet in the Lord’s House and keep me planted so that I may flourish and bear fruit, in Jesus Name.
