Covenant Carrier I

“In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this to remember me as often as you drink it.” 1 Cor.11:25

The question lingering in our hearts from yesterday is why was Jacob so confident that he could produce. Why was Jacob so confident? Jacob was so confident because Jacob knew that he [Jacob] was a custodian of the Covenant of Jehovah and that is the key. Jacob knew that he was a carrier of that thing that was on Abraham, which was transferred to Isaac, and which he contacted before he escaped from his home. He knew that he was a carrier of something that was intangible and was capable of changing his story. I am here to tell you that you are a carrier of the Covenant of God and that is usually what makes the difference. I have seen two born again Christians, saved by the same blood, baptized in the same Spirit, carrying the same version of Bible but one is making progress while the other is struggling. I have seen this same scenario play out with businessmen, professionals, and ministers also. What is the difference? One is connecting in a special way and operating the Covenant of Jehovah and the other is just thinking everything will fall on his lap. Jacob knew that it is not what flows to you that makes you wealthy, it is what flows from you that makes you wealthy. Jacob knew that you do not get wealthy by consistently looking for what you can collect. And you do not get wealthy by handouts. Jacob knew you do not get wealthy that way. Paul, quoting Jesus puts it this way, “…You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:35. Jacob knew that blooming was not going to be determined by what came from Laban’s hands to him but what came from him outwards. So again I say to you, do not work for wages, work for value. Don’t spend your month counting the days until it is payday. If that is how you live, God is going to totally change your story today. It shouldn’t matter what day of the month it is and Jacob understood that very clearly. Your bloom is tied to the Covenant. I understand that it might be difficult for you to put yourself into this equation. After all, this is Jacob, the son of Isaac who was the son of Abraham. How will you know that this thing will work for you? I will show you. “In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this to remember me as often as you drink it.” 1 Cor.11:25. Jesus brought you and I into the same Covenant God made with Abraham. So if it worked for Abraham, if it worked Isaac, if it worked Jacob, and if it worked for Jesus, it will work for you! You need to believe it!

Prayer: Holy Spirit, please let the truth that I carry the Covenant of Jehovah be real to me, in Jesus Name.
