Be Strong!

“No, we don’t know, Lord,” Thomas said. “We have no idea where you are going, so how can we know the way?” John 14:6

“Eight days later the disciples were together again, and this time Thomas was with them. The doors were locked; but suddenly, as before, Jesus was standing among them. “Peace be with you,” he said.  Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!John 20:26-27 [emphasis added]. It is possible that there are Thomas’ reading this today. I believe God is saying to you don’t be faithless any longer. Believe! Only believe. And then Thomas cried out, “My Lord and my God!” Thomas exclaimed. 29 Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me. John 20:28 [emphasis added]. Jesus told him you have seen but there are people that are going to be more blessed than you are Thomas and those are the people that believe without seeing. So you and I are going to be more blessed than Thomas. We are actually more blessed than Thomas. Do not say I have to see to believe. God is saying blessed are you for believing without seeing.

For some of us reading this today, our story is similar to that of Didymus. We have doubted God, doubted His Words, and even doubted God’s ability to come through for us. Some have doubted God’s faithfulness in our lives and our circumstances. But the past few days have been Holy Spirit filled revelations to all of us.  The first step is to learn from Thomas’ sincerity and go to God earnestly. Thank Him for being kind and patient with our doubts. Then repent of the doubts that you have and it is my prayer that as we sincerely do this, God will strengthen our faith and it will not fail us in Jesus Name. For some others, it is now clear to you that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and that there is no other way to the Father except through Jesus. Make up your mind today to put your faith in this Jesus beginning today and discard the doubts. And it is my prayer that as you surrender to Jesus, He alone will fill your life with His Presence and change you totally into His image.

I am praying again for every one of us reading this devotional today, in the Name of Jesus our faith will not fail. I pray that our doubts will be substituted with great and strong faith, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Prayer [song]: Lord prepare me to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true. And with thanksgiving, I’ll be a living, sanctuary, for you. Amen!
