Tough Queries?

Ps.77:7-9 “Has the Lord rejected me forever?  Will he never again be kind to me?  Is his unfailing love gone forever? Have his promises permanently failed? Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he slammed the door on his compassion?

The first of the three good sides of doubt is; doubt drives you to God. The second is doubt forces you to wrestle with life’s difficult questions. Do you know that when everything is sweet, Read the rest of this entry

To God

Ps.73:23-24 “Yet I still belong to you; you hold my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Whom have I in heaven but you? I desire you more than anything on earth.”

Are you familiar with the dot-to-dot puzzle, where you need to connect the dots to see the image? Interestingly, many people approach life like it is a dot-to-dot puzzle, trying to connect dots and wondering where things fit. Read the rest of this entry

The One

Acts 17:28 (KJV) “For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.”

Asaph, one of king David psalmists, expressed his doubts in writing in Psalm 77:1-9 (please read). The first thing that jumps at us when we read this portion of scripture is that we are men of like passions. Read the rest of this entry

Building Faith

John 20:25 “They told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he replied, “I won’t believe it unless I see the nail wounds in his hands, put my fingers into them, and place my hand into the wound in his side.”

The question on our minds when we come to God and when we come into His presence or His house, should not be – am I going to be blessed today? The question should be, would God be blessed today because I came into His presence, would I bless God’s heart today? Read the rest of this entry

Confront Lies

John 8:32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Pre-Conditions?

Ex.20:3 “You must not have any other god but me.”

Eye Witness II

John 20:25 “They told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he replied, “I won’t believe it unless I see the nail wounds in his hands, put my fingers into them, and place my hand into the wound in his side.”

One of the striking things about God is that He is committed to record the whole truth about everyone in His Word. Like Peter, Thomas was not going to stick his neck out for Jesus without a hundred percent proof. Read the rest of this entry

Witness

Acts 1:3 During the forty days after he suffered and died, he appeared to the apostles from time to time, and he proved to them in many ways that he was actually alive. And he talked to them about the Kingdom of God.”

Phil.3:10 [NKJV] that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death”. Paul, James, Peter, Thaddeus and all the others had this same cry in their hearts. Read the rest of this entry

Single Minded

Ex.17:10 Joshua did exactly as Moses had instructed him to do…[Voice] 13 As a result, Joshua overwhelmed the army of Amalek in battle [NLT, with emphasis]

In your business, maintain a single line of command. In your home, it must be a single line of command. In your life, it must be a single line of command. Joshua could have challenged Moses instruction, “Why do I have to be the one to risk getting killed on the battle field? Let us switch places, you go and fight and give me the rod of God and I will stand on the mountain.” But who determined the victory, was it Joshua’s militancy or Moses on the hill? Aaron and Hur could have said to Moses, “Now that your hands are tired, it Read the rest of this entry

Let Go!

Eze.36:11 I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bear young; I will make you inhabited as in former times, and do better for you than at your beginnings. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” [NKJV]

If you are ever in doubt as to what you are truly worth, look at Jesus because He is the picture of the value God puts on you. The clay derives it worth from the potter. A lot of us are tempted to think our worth increases when we perform and we are successful. We are tempted to think that when we fail and our performance drops, our worth also decreases.  But the truth is that your success does not increase your worth and your failure does not decrease your worth. Your worth in God is the priceless Blood of Jesus. There is nothing, Read the rest of this entry
