Know The Enemy I

“The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other… Gal.5:17

Permit me to reiterate our last thoughts from yesterday. God is a Godhead [God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit] and I have inherited His enemies. To fully understand the enemy and how it works you need to know the enemy of the Father, the enemy of the Son, and the enemy of the Holy Spirit.

What is the enemy of the Holy Spirit? The enemy of the Holy Spirit is the flesh. The enemy of the Holy Spirit is not satan, it is your flesh. The sinful nature in man is the enemy of the Holy Spirit. If your walk with the Holy Spirit is going to be prosperous or if it is going to be hindered it would be a direct result of your flesh. If the Holy Spirit is going to have free sway in your life and you are going to be very anointed it is going to be because of your flesh. If the Holy Spirit is going to stay away from you and just manage you it is going to be because of your flesh. It will not be because of the devil, it will be because of your flesh. The Holy Spirit prompts you to go in one direction but your flesh refuses, if you obey your flesh, you distance yourself from God. “So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other… Gal.5:16 -17 [emphasis added]. God is clear in His Word. You say you cannot hear the Holy Spirit sometimes right? Hearing Him is simple; you can hear your flesh loud and clear right? Then simply go in the opposite direction that is what the Holy Spirit is saying. For instance, you say Holy Ghost, I am going to get married to this man should he be caressing my breasts? Lets say you do not hear an answer. Ask yourself, what does your flesh want? Sincerely answer that question and then go in the other direction, that is the Holy Ghost right there in the other direction. “The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. Now you have discovered the voice of the Holy Spirit so you can no longer hide. If you cannot hear the Holy Ghost, you can hear your flesh. The flesh is at constant battle with the Spirit. If you are going to be spiritual, if you are going to hear God and be accurate then you must overcome your flesh and I will tell you how.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, I pray that as I hear Your voice daily my heart will not be hardened but it will be quick to obey You in all things, in Jesus Name.
