Get Better

“A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel” Prov.1:5 [NKJV]

Society used to be divided between those who have and those who do not have. But I tell you the truth, going forward, society is going to be divided by those who know and those who do not know. Knowledge is going to be the key decider. Your life only gets better when you get better. You cannot get better if you do not even know where you stand. Everybody wants his or her life to get better but your life can only get better when you get better.

So the more you acquire and apply accurate information about yourself and achieve results, the more valuable you become. And the better the quality of your life. The good news is that there is no limit to how much better you can become by continuous learning. It is totally up to you. So read books! I know some people do not to like reading. I know because I am that way too but I force myself to read. Nobody likes hard work; everyone wants to do little work and earn a lot of money. Who would not want that? But my advice is, do the work!

Take the pains to listen to audio resources and improve yourself. Do a course, acquire new skill and become better at what you do. Listen to and apply advice even though it may be bitter in your mouth. Keep getting better and your life will get better. Remember your life only gets better when you get better. If I keep giving someone feedback and advice and he or she does not listen, after a while I stop. Why? It is not because I hate the person, but because it is not adding any value to him or her. The truth is until you get to that point yourself where you value advice, you cannot get better.

Another thing you need to know is, no one is better than you. Nobody is smarter than you. If anyone appears to be better than you, it means they simply know something you do not know. And they are doing something you are not doing. What you should do is go and find out. Get to know what they know and start doing what they do. You will find out that you will become better. Say it out loud to yourself, there is nobody better than me. Teach it to your children too and watch them excel in all they do.
