Just Stand

“Finally the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.” Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him, ‘Climb into your chariot and go back home. If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!” 1 Kings 18:44

I am able to live with the fact that I have tried something and it did not work than not try it and regret that if I had tried, maybe it would have worked. This is the mantra that I live by. Big deal if I tried and it did not work; I will just try another thing. But a lot of people are laden with regrets about the things they should have done but did not do. But that is going to change, in Jesus Name.

Sometimes we get to a place in life where it seems there is no break, no opening, or no opportunity. A place where it seems as though nothing is opening up. If you are in that category, the first thing you need to know is, just remain faithful and the opportunity will come. Just stand your ground, something always happens. Bernard Baruch says, “When business is good, people believe that it will always be good. When business is poor, people believe that it will always be poor. Neither is correct.” So if you are worried about not having openings or opportunities, do not worry, your opportunity is here already, in Jesus name. Just stand your ground something always happens.

During the Second World War there was a lot of pressure on Winston Churchill to negotiate with the Germans. But he refused and chose to stand his ground. Everybody thought he was crazy. But he knew that the deciding factor of that war would be the Americans. And the United States of America said they were not going to participate in the war. But Churchill said something will happen and America will fight. And something happened, the Americans joined the war and in fact they determined the end of the war. They asked him afterwards how he knew the Americans were going to join because he was so resolute. And Winston Churchill said, “I have studied history and history shows that if you persist long enough, something always happens.” Do not give up – something is going to happen! It may look like everything is going to crash but just stand your ground; something is going to happen in your favour. And when it happens, exploit it!

Prayer: I decree that I will stand my ground in every season because Jesus is my unshakable foundation and things will play out in my favour, in Jesus Name.
