It Is Finished

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory1Cor.2:7-8 [emphasis added]

Let the party begin. I can imagine the party in hell. The jubilating, the victory stories, the dancing, and the drinking, and imagine them patting each other on the back. The party lasted day one, day two and on the third day they heard the deafening sound of footsteps coming towards them. Who can that be? Everyone was complete. So who is coming? And the order came, “go and check!” A demon ran and came back with this report; “you would not believe it but it is He”. “Who?” They asked. “The one we thought was dead is alive”. “Who?” “Jesus”. At the mention of His Name alone, they all fell prostrate. When they came back to themselves, they hurriedly locked the gates. When Jesus got to the gate, an angel gave the instruction, “lift up your heads oh ye gates, and be ye lift up ye everlasting doors, and the king of glory shall come in”. They put up a fight, “who is this king of glory?” And the angel responded, “the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle; lift up your head oh ye gates, even lift them up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of Glory shall come in”. Again they challenged, “who is this King of Glory?” And again the angel proclaimed, “The Lord of Hosts, He is the King of Glory”. The gates crumbled! Jesus bruised the head of satan, seized the keys of death and hell, and He led captivity captive. And while He was on His way, satan said, “but I do not understand”. And Jesus said, “you would not understand”. Then satan said, “but Jesus, You said ‘it is finished!’” “Yes”, Jesus said, “sin is finished, sorrow is finished, confusion is finished, sickness is finished, poverty is finished, and shackles and confinements are finished. It is finished!” satan thought Jesus was buried but God said, “no, He was just planted!” For someone reading this today, the situation in your life appears as if you were buried. I am here to declare to you that you were not buried, you were just planted. And the same power that resurrected Jesus is entering your life now and is causing there to be a resurrection. So everything that has held you captive up until now, we command it to lose its grip now, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Prayer: Father, let everything that has kept a part of my life buried be destroyed by the Resurrection Power and let the name of Jesus be glorified, in Jesus Name.
