Death To Life III

“When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them” Ps.126:1-2 [KJV]

Moving from death to life could be from slavery to freedom. Do not be quick to say you are not in slavery. Take note that you are a slave to anything you are doing currently but you wish you could stop doing. But today, you are moving out of slavery, in Jesus Name. For some people, they are slaves to someone that has influence over their lives. For instance a relative and if that relative says sit down, everybody must sit down or else there would be trouble. You have been saying let us give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar. But today, God has freed you from that enslaving influence over your life. And the next time that relative says sit down, you would say, I am free. Why? It is because our God specializes in moving people from death to life. That is His specialty. So I am really excited for us today.

“I am going to pass through the land of Egypt during the night and put to death all their firstborn children and animals. I will also execute My judgments against all the gods of the Egyptians, for I am the Eternal One! The blood on the doorframes of your houses will be a sign of where you are. When I pass by and see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague will not afflict you when I strike the land of Egypt with death” Ex.12:12-13 [Voice, emphasis added]. God is saying, because you are moving from death to life, He is going to visit death on the things that have kept you in death so that you can move to life. Many times, the things that try to hold us in death will not relent until God visits death on them. Let the judgment begin on everything that God needs to visit with death so that you will come to life, in Jesus Name.

“…. I will also execute My judgments against all the gods of the Egyptians…” In other words, God is saying He will even deal with their gods. As human beings, we see death as the end of the road but God uses death as a bridge to a fresh start. I have seen people lose their jobs and they are shaking because of their financial responsibilities. I always keep myself from laughing because, particularly when they are following God, it is like a pattern with God. God sometimes will have to shut one door so that He can open a bigger door.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for setting me completely free and visiting death on the things that have attempted to keep me in death. Thank You Lord for new life, in Jesus Name.
