Death To Life IV

“When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them” Ps.126:1-2 [KJV]

Yesterday, we learnt that God sometimes will have to shut one door so that He can open a bigger door. Like the example from yesterday, the man is before me trembling as he reels out all his responsibilities. I had to keep myself from laughing but I prayed and I encouraged him. Guess what? This same man just a few months down the line, is so grateful to God that he lost that job because God has shown him His faithfulness. The challenge with a lot of us is that we are too comfortable with the familiar. So many times, God needs to terminate the familiar. The familiar could be a lot of things; it could even be a relationship. God needs to put it to an end. This message is for someone reading this today; God is killing that relationship Himself. The reason is so that He can bring you into your destiny. So stop crying over spilled milk.

Back in the day at one of our meetings, I said this same thing and a lady that was present said it was like I was speaking to her directly. She still kept trying to get back with the man. I kept saying to her, the more you keep  trying to get back to him, the longer it will take you. So finally she let go and let God. Today she is happily married and totally grateful. And guess what? She now does not understand why she wanted to marry the other man she was clinging tightly to.

When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream, then was our mouth filled with laughter and our tongue with singing. God specializes in bringing life out of death, Israel from Egypt, and freedom from slavery. In fact the way He even works, particularly with Christians, is that He allows us to go through things that appear to crush us. But through that same thing, He brings out His life and we marvel. “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body… So then death is working in us, but life in you2Cor.4:7-10, 12 [NKJV, emphasis added].

Prayer: Holy Spirit, teach me to always carry the dying of my Lord Jesus in my body so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in my body, in Jesus Name.
