“You will search for me. And when you search for me with all your heart, you will find me! I will let you find me,” says the Lord…” Jer.29:13-14 [NCV]

Let me let you in on a secret; a secret I discovered from walking with God for over twenty years. The key to the supernatural and to the anointing of the Holy Spirit is hunger. The key to the Presence of God is hunger. The key to depth in the things of God is hunger. Some people are not hungry for anything. They are just satisfied. The truth is, there is nothing you can add to a bucket that is already full. Zacchaeus was the most open to Jesus about his desire for God. However, it is not enough to be hungry, you have to stay hungry. That is the key to not backsliding and returning to your old ways. You have to stay hungry.

Now all glory to God, who is able to keep you from falling away and will bring you with great joy into his glorious presence without a single fault” Jude 1:24. God is saying if you stay hungry and you follow Him, He is able to keep you from falling. This was the Scripture God gave to me in December 1995. I can never forget it because this Scripture set me free. I was inundated with the fear of backsliding. The number one question on my mind was, how am I going to cope with this new life in Christ Jesus? Then God showed me this Scripture. Who is going to keep you from falling? God Himself will keep you from falling; and bring you to God’s Presence with a few faults here and a few blemishes there, right? The Bible says, without a single fault! This is just mind-blowing. For some of us, we need to take Jude 1:24 and confess it over our lives [like a thousand times].

For heart change to happen; we must be open to the initiative of God, we must believe that God loves sinners and we Must Never Give up HOPE. If a vote were taken in that community for who Jesus will go home with, do you think Zacchaeus would have won? I do not think so. Most times, the people that are popular with men are not popular with God. It is just the way of God. Zacchaeus would have lost if there were an election. The question to you and I is who are you about to give up on – your sibling, your spouse, your children, or yourself? I am here to tell you that if Jesus could find Zacchaeus, Jesus can find you and everyone you are about to give up on. Do not give up!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I thank You for choosing me and sustaining me, in Jesus Name.
