Warning!!!
Num.23:23 No curse can touch Jacob; no magic has any power against Israel. For now it will be said of Jacob, ‘What wonders God has done for Israel!’
In yesterdays devotional, we began to talk about curses and their effects. If you have not read it, please start to do so. The first effect of curses is that curses release supernatural forces to limit a person or a place. Secondly, curses are released to paralyze and negate people or places. I pray in the name of Jesus that every curse that is trying to or has succeeded in paralyzing or negating you or any part of your life, God will wipe out today [say Amen].
Thirdly, curses actually destroy. The devil is never satisfied; his agenda is to steal, to kill and to destroy. So while limiting and paralyzing are the first two steps, the enemy will not stop until he destroys. So when the enemy attacks a marriage or a business, he first limits it and then he paralyzes it. If you allow, he will destroy that business or marriage completely. So you have to stop him while he is trying to limit it. Fight and resist the enemy with all the spiritual ammunition available to you and heaven will back you up, in Jesus Name.
A lady took the new car she bought to show her mother. The mother entered the car, got out and said to her daughter that she had just bought her coffin. And the daughter, out of ignorance was trying to reason with her mother. Guess what? She actually died in that car. Another lady, who was newly married, was given a loaf of bread by her mother in-law who said to her, ‘Eat this bread and block your womb’. The foolish girl actually ate the bread because she was trying to prove that she is a part of the family. That lady struggled to conceive a child.
This world is a wicked world. And the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God and we will pull down every strong hold. In 2 Kings 2:23-24, this is the story of a time when Elisha got angry and called bears to kill some boys who were making fun of him. People ask if it was right for Elisha to curse children. Well when we get to heaven we will know. But your responsibility is to train your children so they do not become casualties, [Prov.22:6 please read]. The focus is not on whether the man of God should have gotten angry or said what he said, the focus is on not being a casualty of those utterances.
Prayer: Father, even as You destroy the curses and their effects in my life, help me not to become a casualty of curses, in Jesus Name. Amen!
