Rejoice!

James 2:26 [AMP] “For just as the [human] body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works [of obedience] is also dead”

1 Sam.1:17 In that case,” Eli said, “go in peace! May the God of Israel grant the request you have asked of him.”18 “Oh, thank you, sir!” she exclaimed. Then she went back and began to eat again, and she was no longer sad.” The Bible records that Hannah’s countenance changed and this is so instructive. Just like Hannah, you and I must take action; add action to your faith. You have waited, you have fasted, you have worshiped, and you have prayed. You need to add actions to your faith. Her action was she broke her fast. What have you have been trusting God for? Go and do something about it, take action to your faith.

When we were trusting God for a child, we heard a similar message and my wife bought a pair of baby sandals. She put them in her closet where she would see them very often. Seeing them propelled her faith. It reassured her that God is faithful and He will come through for us. You are trusting God for a child, your action might be to buy a baby blanket. Your action to back up your faith may be to buy your graduation outfit or your wedding shoes, or a shirt you will wear to the office because it will surely come to pass.

Change your countenance. Change your utterances. When people ask, “do you have a child?” Let your response be, “I do not have children yet.” Do not limit your circumstances to what is now because God’s Word will surely come to pass in your life. God is too faithful to fail. Hannah began to rejoice and to thank God. The Bible records that she had at least five children, male and female. Where is Peninnah now? But Hannah’s story will always be told. Everyone that is ridiculing you, like Peninnah, they will see God’s plans come to fruition in your life and they will become irrelevant.

God’s Word has gone forth – Rejoice! Do not wait for the circumstances to be ideal before you rejoice; at His Word rejoice. Why? Joshua 21:45Not a single one of all the good promises the Lord had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true.” Personalize this Scripture and bring it back to our covenant keeping God in praise.

Prayer [song]: He has promised He will never fail. I will honor Him, I will adore Him. He has promised, He will never fail, His faithfulness is forevermore x2… Amen!
