Be Strong!
Josh.1:6 “Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them. 7 Be strong and very courageous.
The future glory of your life shall be greater than the past. No matter how great or how turbulent your past has been, your future glory shall be greater than your past, in Jesus Name. The future glory of your finances shall be greater than your past. The future glory of your marriage shall be greater than the past. The future glory of your health shall be greater than the past. The future glory of your destiny shall be greater than that of your past, in Jesus Name. Your best days are still ahead. It is the truth of the Word of God. You have seen good days but you have not seen anything yet. That is why you have to wake up and embrace each day because your best days are still ahead of you.
Hagg.2:4 “But now the Lord says: Be strong, Zerubbabel. Be strong, Jeshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people still left in the land. And now get to work, for I am with you, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies” [emphasis added]. Why would God keep saying be strong to specific groups of people – to the leader, high priest, and to the people? God is saying, I know what is ahead of you is not trivial. God is not oblivious of the fact that the challenge is huge. He knows that you may look at the situation and think it is overwhelming. But God, the God of Heaven Armies, is saying to you today, be strong!
I did not particularly enjoy my first few years in secondary school. It was a boarding school, a tough place. When the holiday season was over and I had to go back to school, there was one phrase my grandmother would say to me repeatedly as I sobbed passionately. She would say, “Behave like a man”; in other words, be strong. And so I would brace up and behave like a man. God is saying to you today, behave like a man, be a man, be strong.
Regardless of whether the source of the pressure you are facing is from the challenge, the workload, or the huge responsibility, God’s Word to you is “be strong”. You have to choose to be strong because God has told you to be strong. The world does not reward weakness. Cry if you must but pull yourself together and be strong because God is with you.
Prayer: Father, Your Word says You give strength to the weak. Today I exchange my weakness for Your strength, in Jesus Name. Amen!
