God’s Power

Matt.5:45 “…For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.”

It is so unfortunate that a lot of people have bought into the lie that once you become a Christian, all your problems will go away. Have you heard that before? It is a big lie! Your life and my life are proof that that is not the gospel. That is a gospel but not The Gospel. You are going to have the same problems everyone else has. However, the difference is that you are going to have God’s power to deal with the problems as they arise. You are going to feel fear, anger, depression, insecurity; but you are going to have God’s power to deal with these troubles.

The difference between you and the world will not be in what you face. The difference will be in how you respond to what you face because you will respond in God’s power. People are going to steal from you, whether you are a Christian or not. Have you not noticed that people are even stealing from churches?  And guess what? The most stolen book in the world is the Bible. If the currency of the nation depreciates, {we are praying it would not, in Jesus Name}, you will feel the pressure.

The bank is not going to treat your transactions differently because you are a child of God. You are going to face the same pressure but the beauty of being a Christian, is that you are safe. Our God shall supply all our needs according to His riches in glory [Phil.4:19]. So quit trying to avoid trouble and quit trying to wish things away. A lot of us have to renew our minds with this truth because, the gospel we know is that once you give your life to Jesus, all your trouble will fade away.

In my service year, this was the gospel we knew and preached. One of the ladies in fellowship back then was previously a catholic but was now on fire for God. In fact she could not wait to get home to tell her entire family about Jesus. At the passing out parade, while everyone else got a discharge certificate she did not get one. She was so angry. I was called to speak to her and she chased me away too. She had that problem because we gave her the wrong gospel. We did not teach her how to overcome trials.

Prayer [song]: He is able, abundantly able, to deliver and to save. He is able abundantly able to deliver those who trust in Him. Amen!
