Step Out

Luke 1: 38 “Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” And then the angel left her”

Miracles only happen outside of your comfort zone. I think you should write that down. Miracles happen only outside of your comfort zone. Miracles do not happen in your comfort zone. Take fasting for instance; each time I have to wait on God, I am deliberate about pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Do you know that it is possible to fast and remain in your comfort zone? And nothing would have shifted. You have to always push yourself out of the comfort zone because that is where miracles happen.
Some people are too complacent. They will kick and fight against anything that attempts to take them out of their comfort zone. Guess what? If you want to see the miraculous power of God, you have to share your faith. Talking to somebody about Jesus is one of the easiest ways to walk in the supernatural. God told me this Himself and proved it and it is true. The easiest way to access the supernatural is by preaching Jesus.

My national youth service took me to the Northern part of Nigeria. There, I was privileged to serve under Pastor Psalm Samuel. I saw raw faith in action walking with him. When we go for evangelism in a community and they are not really giving us attention, he will ask them to bring out their sick, blind and lame. The first time he did this, while he was making the call, I was busy surveying for the nearest escape routes because the word of God says that God will make your way of escape.

I was afraid because these people could stone us to death. My thoughts were, why can’t we just talk about Jesus and leave. And they brought a child that had never walked. I can never forget that day; Pastor Sam held the child and began to pray in the Name of Jesus, and the child walked. I said, “So this is how this thing works? I too need to start evangelizing”. I started sharing Jesus and no one could stop me; the rest is history. You cannot play it safe and walk in the supernatural. It does not work! The family of the boy that was healed showed up in church the following Sunday. The miraculous happens outside of your comfort zone.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, empower me to consistently step out of my comfort zone in my walk with You and to trust You to do the impossible, in Jesus Name. Amen!
