With God & Self

Ps.139:13 “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.”

You cannot give what you do not have. If you do not like what you see in the mirror, you cannot bring life to your relationship with your spouse. I am not saying you should be carnally minded. What I am saying is everything God made is good; God made you and everything about you is good. And that is the truth of God’s Word. The person you are looking at and wishing you could be like is probably looking at you and wishing he or she could be like you. When you are at peace with yourself, then you can bring peace to your relationship with your spouse. The reason you can bring peace is because it flows from you.
Love yourself! You cannot bring to the table what you do not have.

Ps.46:1God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. 2 So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble into the sea. 3 Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!” Regardless of what I have or do not have, I am at peace because God is my refuge and strength. Regardless of what I have acquired or not acquired, regardless of what I have attained or lost, God is my refuge and strength. Regardless of what people say or do not say, God is my refuge and strength.

One of the best things you can do for yourself is to be at peace with God, be at peace with yourself, and be at peace with your spouse. Stop trying to exchange your spouse for another. When you open the package on your wedding day, whatever you find is your portion for the rest of your life. Just settle that and you will be at peace.

People are spending billions of dollars daily, putting themselves under the knife because they want to alter parts of their body. The point is this – you have to be at peace with yourself. The gift of Christmas is the gift of peace; receive it, in Jesus Name. When you receive it, you accept that you are thoroughly loved by God and you are at peace. You are not under any pressure to perform. Many people are doing a lot of crazy things because they are under pressure to perform and to please. With God it is not like that.

Prayer: Father, I thank You because You know every detail about me and You still love me, in Jesus Name. Amen!
