Acts 2:46 “They shared their meals with great joy and generosity” [with emphasis]

To have God’s blessing that keeps intensifying we must Be Willing To Sacrifice. By God’s grace, we are not strangers to sacrificial living in God’s Favourite House. The first church was famous for their generosity. They called them cannibals because they ate the flesh of the Lord and drank the blood of the Lord. But they acknowledged that something was different about them. Their generosity distinguished them.

We have to be known as generous people. God’s Favourite House by God’s grace is famous for generosity. We like to give and reach our communities for Jesus through irrational generosity. During the first waves of terrorist attacks in Nigeria, one of the churches in the north reached out to us for help because their building had been burnt down. We began to send money to them and one day the pastor called to say the building had been completed. It is just an honour that God is using us to help build other churches.

Acts 2:44-45 “All the believers shared everything with each other. They would sell their land and the things they owned and then give the money to anyone who needed it.” [with emphasis]. The early church was known for its generosity; what do you want to be known for? To be a church that God blesses, to be a family that God blesses, to be a life that God blesses, I must continue to pray for God’s power, continue to use everybody’s language, continue to use everybody’s talent, continue to be devoted to the Word of God and we must Be Willing To Sacrifice.

To experience God’s continuous blessings, we must continue to Love Each Other Deeply. There are so many fake Christians out there. So many people are willing to throw you under the bus if things do not go their way. Growing churches love and loving churches grow. Growing families love and loving families grow. Growing people love and loving people grow. The word for fellowship in the original is Koinonia and it means committed to each other as unto Christ.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, I pray that in my generation I will be known for irrational generosity to the glory of God and it will be a witness to many, in Jesus Name. Amen!
