Pure Joy I

Ps. 16:11 (VOICE) “Instead, You direct me on the path that leads to a beautiful life.  As I walk with You, the pleasures are never-ending, and I know true joy and contentment.”

The joy that is in the Kingdom is in the Holy Spirit and in walking with God. It is as we get into God and into our relationship with Him that we get into His life and experience His joy. Like it is stated in today’s Scripture reference, as you walk with God, the pleasures in your life will be unending. The closest likeness to this would be a divine tickle. You alone experience it so no one around you can understand the source of your excitement. It is almost impossible to explain such an experience.

There is a joy that comes from walking with God; the pleasures are unending. I mean how else can one explain a pastor that wakes up on a Sunday morning to find his wife dead. He covers her up and shows up before God’s people to minister, counsel, and to pray with people. That is a tough nut to crack. That is a walk with God. People are serving God! I pray that God Himself will shut the mouth of everything that has been sucking your joy. I pray that every leakage to your joy tank will be sealed and God will fill you with joy to the overflowing, in Jesus Mighty Name. I pray that God will give you a divine tickle that is never ending.

Rom.14:17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” [with emphasis]. This Scripture gives us the key to the source of joy and it is amplified in Psa. 16:11 (VOICE) “Instead, You direct me on the path that leads to a beautiful life.  As I walk with You, the pleasures are never-ending, and I know true joy and contentment.” So when we go through trials, when we go through challenges, we should realize that God wants us to rise above them and remain joyful.

Infact, the Lord tells us in James 1:2Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance” [with emphasis]. While there is joy, pure joy is a much deeper level.

Prayer: Precious Spirit of God, please direct me in the path that leads to a beautiful life and as I walk with You, let me know true joy and contentment, in Jesus Name. Amen!
