Seeds of Greatness

Prov.6:6 “Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! 7 Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, 8 they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter” [with emphasis].

To Step Up Financially, you must Earn Some; Spend Less, and Save More. Clement Stone says, “If you are unable to retain money, the seeds of greatness are not in you.” The first time I came across this quote, it more than shocked me. I do not even know if Clement Stone is a believer but this quote delivered me from mediocrity. I know that the seeds of greatness are in me but this quote challenged me to begin to engage it, deploy it and retain wealth. The Scripture says a strong man retains wealth [Prov.11:16]. Save more!

The fourth thing you need to do to Step Up financially is permit No Loss. You need to have this mindset, “I do not lose money”. This is the mindset that I have embraced. Do not get me wrong; I am not saying I have never lost money or that it is impossible for me to lose money. I am just saying I have this mindset that I do not lose money. What having this mindset does, is it opens your eyes to many things and how your money is disappearing. I fight everything that will lead to a loss. I do not lose money. Is that possible? I think it is possible to reduce your leakages to the barest minimum, if not to zero.

There are three sure ways of losing money. The first is do not tithe. If you want to lose money then do not tithe. Some people do not even see that there is a direct connection between these things. I hate devourers. Years ago, before we began to pastor, my wife came back from a women’s prayer meeting with a revelation. Back then we were sharing our apartment with rats and cockroaches. She said rats and cockroaches are devourers and since God has promised to rebuke the devourers then they must go.

I saw her faith; I saw that she really believed it. So I encouraged her to just go for it even though I did not quite see what she was seeing. She declared out loud that because she pays her tithe, every rat and cockroach in this house must die. I am not saying you should try it if you do not come to a personal revelation of these things. But the rats and cockroaches began to die even without us fumigating. As soon as they enter my house, they die.

Prayer: Father, as I earn some, spend less and save more, I will know no loss, in Jesus Name. Amen!
