A Lesson In Season

Prov.6:6 “Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! 7 Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, 8 they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter” [with emphasis].

To Step Up financially, the third thing you have to do is Save More. In order to create margin, you have to save more. The challenge most of the time is we over estimate what we can achieve on the short term and we really underestimate what we can achieve on the long term. Everybody will have income, in Jesus Name. God is bringing serious increase and multiplication your way, in Jesus Name; so save more! Again, by way of establishing a balance because I know that saving can be really intoxicating, while saving money is wise, there is a thin line between saving and hoarding. It is very easy to get to the point where all you do is hoard and that will get you into trouble financially and spiritually.

How can you differentiate between when you are saving and when you are hoarding? One word and that word is trust. Where is your trust? That is how you know the difference; is your trust in your bank account(s) or is your trust still in God? Guess what? Sometimes God will check where your trust is. Guess how he checks? God will tell you to give. I pray that you will not refuse, in Jesus Name. But some people refuse and immediately you can tell that their trust is no longer in God but in what they have saved up. By God’s grace, there is no amount that I cannot give when God calls for it. You can have this testimony.

When your trust is in money, you begin to hoard but when your trust is in God you are open to God. God wants you to save because He wants you to be financially free. The truth is making a lot of money is no guarantee that you will have financial freedom. You can make a lot of money and spend more than you make because of a riotous lifestyle.

Prov.6:6Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise! 7 Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, 8 they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter” [with emphasis]. The emphasis in this scripture is not only on working but it is also heavy on saving [gathering]. Inability to save is financial and mental laziness. God wants us to be able to save.

Prayer: Father, as I practice these truths, let my trust remain in You, in Jesus Name. Amen!
