Truth Kernel

1Pet.1:²³ “For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God” [with emphasis]

We are children of God. The truth of God is in our DNA. It is the seed of God in us. An illustration is, a man has intercourse with his wife and unknown to them, the woman conceives immediately.

The following morning, she goes about her business and her life not knowing what has happened. For days and weeks, she continues as if nothing has happened.But the seed is there. Sometimes, you have the seed of God and you are still behaving as if nothing has happened. But the seed is there and the more it grows – weeks roll into months, she begins to feel funny. She knows now that something is happening to her.

Then her stomach begins to grow and there is conflict going on. Similarly, if you have the seed of God in you, you cannot continue to lie; the seed will make lying uncomfortable. As the seed of God grows in you, you will struggle with telling lies. But when you find out that lies are flowing from your mouth freely, then check – it is a seed issue. Yes, not every seed leads to new life. But guess what? No new life can happen without a seed. It is not every time we preach the Word that people’s lives get changed and we know that. But when people come to Christ, when they become children of God, it is impossible without the power of the Holy Spirit and without the seed of God being in them.

As soon as you get saved, the seed of God is in you and you are wired that way from that day on. You are wired as a child of God. We are not wired liars trying to tell the truth. A lot of people see themselves as wired liars. We are wired in truth struggling with lies. There is a huge difference and you have to see yourself that way. This is who you are – you are a child of the Living God, wired in truth, God is in your DNA, truth is in your DNA, life is in your DNA. You may have struggled with lies but you are born of God and you will overcome lies. Now declare this truth over yourself. John 8: ³¹ Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. ³² And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

Prayer: In Jesus Name, I am a child of God, wired in truth, God is in my DNA, truth is in my DNA, and life is in my DNA. I may have struggled with lies but I will overcome lies. Amen!
